The bridal room had grown quiet. The once lively chatter of bridesmaids and groomsmen had disappeared.

“I wanted Lyle to see us so he could tell you! But, you didn’t show up. You’re always like this. You never take the initiative, and you’ve never been honest. I always have to guess or hear things from other people.”
