Tears streamed down her face in silence, blurring her vision.
“Gilbert, your heart belongs to Caroline, and yet you’ve shared your body with Karol! How can a man as tainted in soul and body as you think I’d ever settle for you?” Anger surged through her, lending a sharp edge to her words.
“What do you take me for? A trash can, only good for collecting your garbage?”

Gilbert felt as if a knife had twisted in his heart, the pain striking him at his very core.

Seizing the moment of his shock, Sherilyn gathered all her strength, pushed him away forcefully, and ran off into the distance.

Sherilyn ran back to the set, rushing into the restroom.
Turning on the tap, she cupped water and splashed it onto her face… Her makeup had been smeared by tears; it had to be washed off. Lifting her head, she stared at her reflection in the mirror. In just a short while, her eyes had started to swell.
“What are you doing? What happened to you?”
She talked to herself, “Why like this?”
Closing her eyes, tears once again traced her cheeks.
She cried because of herself…

“It’s nothing… just hurry and get the makeup artist, so we don’t delay the shoot!” “Alright, got it!”
Without further questions, Naomi hurried off.
Upon her return, Naomi had shocking news for Sherilyn.
“Karol is leaving!”
Leaving? Sherilyn paused, then gave a faint, cold laugh.
No need to ask; it was Gilbert’s doing.
He couldn’t hide his affair with Karol anymore, and this was his way of showing it to her.
Thinking back on his words to her that morning…
I’ll find a way to get rid of Karol, keep her away from you, out of your sight.
Claiming it was for her, but it was probably because she had uncovered their affair, right? Ridiculous!
“Karol is packing her things right now!”
Naomi continued, “If she leaves, what about the movie? Do we need a replacement? Geez, we’ll have to reshoot her scenes. Luckily, we’ve only just started. Sherilyn, do you think there’s something going on behind the scenes? Karol took the role of the second lead, and now she’s being kicked out… is this some kind of power struggle?”
As they were talking, the makeup artist arrived.
“I’m not sure.” Sherilyn smiled at Naomi, “I need to get my makeup done, you go ahead with your work.”
“Oh.”
While getting her makeup done, Sherilyn’s phone kept ringing.
Without exception, all calls and messages were from Gilbert.
