Karol couldn’t help but laugh bitterly, “Put away your affection! I don’t need it!”

Tears welled up in Karol’s eyes even more furiously as she gritted her teeth in anger. “Is it only Emily in your eyes? Is that it? Is she really that perfect?”

Gilbert raised his eyebrows in surprise, a smirk playing on his lips. “I don’t know why I have to explain myself to you, but since you asked, let me put it this way-you’re not even in the same league as her.” Karol stiffened, her face draining of color as hatred began to brew within her.
Gilbert, running out of patience, frowned and urged, “Have you decided what you want? If not, leave. I’ll have my people contact you…”
“I’ve decided!”
Karol exclaimed through clenched teeth, her hands balled into fists. “I want fame, I want to be famous.”

Gilbert raised an eyebrow, relieved. “Alright, I got it. I’ll arrange it.”
He gestured towards the door.
“You can leave now.”
Karol bit her lip, taking a couple of steps towards the door.

Gilbert called out just as she thought she was leaving.
Karol turned around eagerly, “Mr. Harrison?”
Gilbert looked at her, his lips parting slightly. “I promise to make you famous. As for last night, keep it to yourself. Seal your lips and don’t mention it to anyone… If word gets out and Emily hears even a whisper…” His tone darkened, ominous.
“I can make you famous, but I can also blacklist you, ensuring you disappear from this industry!”
Karol froze, her face paling further.
She had thought he cared, perhaps even offer some consolation… How naive she was!

All his warmth was reserved for Emily!

Tears in her eyes, Karil ran out.

Passing through the corridor, he noticed a cleaner pushing a cart.
The cleaner quickly lowered their head, stepping aside at the sight of him.

Gilbert nodded, asking, “Has Emily eaten anything?”
“Not yet.”
Naomi shook her head. “I just bought her a breakfast sandwich but I didn’t realize she dislikes. pickles… Emily said she’d just have a couple of slices of toast
