“Sherilyn.” Gilbert got out of the car, striding toward her with authority, “I’m here to give you a lift. I have to head out to Sunhaven this afternoon, just wanted to let you know in person.” “Gilbert.”
Sherilyn couldn’t help but chuckle at his demeanor; she was utterly exasperated.
“Some things, though I didn’t say them last night, I thought you’d understand. We’re done.”
“We’re not done.”
Gilbert frowned, shaking his head, “I’ve kept my promises to you; you have no reason to call it quits.”
“?” Sherilyn was flabbergasted, her eyes wide in disbelief, “Have you forgotten that just last night you were defending Caroline?”
“I was merely stating facts, not defending her.”
Gilbert shook his head calmly, “I did it for you, not for her.”
“!!”
Sherilyn was so shocked she was speechless.
Furious, she glared at him non-stop, “What’s the point? We keep fighting over Caroline. If you’re not tired of it, I am!”
“I admit, I used to.”
Gilbert nodded, then shook his head again.
“But this time, I didn’t. It’s you who doesn’t trust me. I did it for you, not to protect her.”
He said, while gently pulling her hand towards the car.
“You might not trust me now, but everything will come to light regarding Saul’s issue, and then, you will believe me.”
“Enough!” Sherilyn’s lips curled, and she suddenly shouted, “Stop talking!”
“Sherilyn…” Gilbert froze, not expecting her to be so agitated.
“Can you not?”
Sherilyn’s eyes began to well up, “You seem to have misunderstood

“Every single bit of it should make me happy! And now, you’ve made me very unhappy! Extremely unhappy!”
Sherilyn paused, took a deep breath, “Stop bothering me! Stop torturing me!”
With that, she pushed Gilbert away and ran off.
“Sherilyn!” Gilbert was stunned. Had she just used the word ‘torture’?
Had he really made her suffer that much?

Upon arriving at the studio, Sherilyn was immediately called in by Director Blake.
“Director Blake, you wanted to see me?”
“Yes.” Blake smiled warmly, gesturing for her to take a seat, “I have good news.”
He pulled out a file from his drawer and placed it in front of her, “I’ve got an endorsement deal for you, take a look.” “Really?”
Sherilyn was stunned, hardly believing it. She had an endorsement deal already?
“So surprised? It seems you’re unaware of your own popularity.”
Her last series had already aired, and although Sherilyn had a minor role, her striking appearance and charisma, combined with her character in the show, had definitely won over fans.
Not to mention the recent rumors of her and Gilbert’s romance.
The industry was also buzzing with whispers that Sherilyn and Gilbert hadn’t really broken up.
