Sherilyn realized Galen had seen the pill bottle.
But she didn’t answer his concern. “What sickness I have, what medication I’m taking, it’s none of your business.”
She jerked her arm away, attempting to leave him behind.
“Sis!” Galen hurried a few steps to block her way, “I’m just worried about you!”
Hmph. Sherilyn let out a barely audible scoff, “I don’t need it.”
Her face was a clear display of disgust and loathing.
Galen understood, but it hurt nonetheless. “Sis, do you really hate me that much?”
“…” Sherilyn was taken aback, then countered, “Shouldn’t I?”
“I know my parents hurt you… but…” Galen’s brows knitted together, “I never did anything to you…”
“Don’t you get it?”
Sherilyn looked at him sideways, her voice laced with scorn, “You don’t have to do anything. Your mere presence is an injury to me! Move!” She gave him a fierce look and briskly walked past him.
“Sis…”
Galen stood frozen, touching his forehead.
The medication!
He grabbed his phone, opened the browser, and typed in the medication name he remembered seeing.
His eyes widened as the search results popped up.
“This medication… Sis is this sick?”

Sherilyn hadn’t expected Galen to show up on set again.
With too many people around and to avoid being photographed, Sherilyn led him to the props room.
Frowning and suppressing her impatience, “What is it? Speak up and then leave!”
“Sis.”
Galen unlocked his phone, opening the webpage he found that morning, and showed it to Sherilyn. “This is the medication you’re taking, right?” Sherilyn glanced at it, slightly impressed by his memory. He remembered it just from a glimpse?
“Sis!”
Reading her expression, Galen became even more anxious, “What’s wrong with you? What sickness do you have?”
The webpage indicated that the medication was for treating blood and immune system disorders.
“Sis, is it serious?”
Seeing his worried face, Sherilyn was momentarily at a loss for words.
“Sis, speak up!” Galen was pacing, his anxiety almost palpable.
“What’s the issue? What sickness is it?”
“Why are you yelling?” Sherilyn snapped back, “What’s it to you?”
“You won’t say?” Galen was left to guess, “Leukemia? Aplastic anemia?”
Sherilyn’s expression froze; he had actually guessed correctly! “Sis?”
Galen saw her reaction clear as day.
“Aplastic anemia?”
His complexion turned pale, his voice faltering, “Aplastic… anemia?”
“…” Sherilyn’s brows furrowed, and she remained silent, her body tense.
That confirmed it!!
Galen stiffened, suddenly covering his face with his hands. “How could this be? Sis…” He removed his hands, his eyes slightly misty.
“Is this true?”
“Huh.” Sherilyn laughed coldly, “True or false, what does it matter to you? Satisfied your curiosity? You can leave now.”
“Sis.”
Galen refused to leave, filled with concern and urgency, “Sis, this isn’t easy to treat, a bone marrow
transplant is needed vel.
“Mhm.” Sherilyn raised an eyebrow nodding, a trace of a cold smile on her lips, “You seem well-informed. Done talking? Then please leave.”
“Sis!”
Suddenly, Galen grabbed her wrist, “Sis, have you found a suitable bone marrow donor?”
After he asked, he was met with Sherilyn’s icy stare.
