So, they were on completely different pages. Sherilyn was momentarily at a loss for words, her frustration boiling over. “You’re being unreasonable!” “Yes.”
Gilbert nodded, unashamed, “But
what can do? I want to, and I must. Since you joined the Johnson family at fifteen, you know me. When set my mind to something, I see t through!”
“Wow.” Sherilyn stared at his almost flawlessly handsome face, grinding her teeth in irritation, “You really are shameless!”
“Thank you.” Gilbert took it as a compliment, “I’ll take that as a compliment.”
He gestured towards the car, “We’re
running late. If we don’t leave now you’ll be late. But not to worry, walkin with you. No one would dare give you trouble then…”
