Over the next few days, when I turned calm again, I wasn’t just heartbroken anymore. I was furious. I wanted
everyone to know the truth.
Wanted to reveal how they’d all treated me, how Ace and Elena had twisted everything against me I didn’t get

That morning, as I walked into a café to grab a quick coffee, I saw Elena standing outside the building

“Finish what you’ve to say ” I asked impatiently
Elena let out a sigh, smiling and pointed beside me. “Looks like your order is here. How about you finish it first?”
I looked at the coffee. It would make me feel refreshed, but now looking at it, I lost my appetite.
I looked away for a moment when Elena tapped her nails. Frowning, I asked her again, “Do you want to say it or
not?
Elena laughed. “Well, I just feel pity for you. It’s sad to see how you’re trying to gain Ace’s attention with the divorce, so pathetically but he doesn’t care. Even though he married you, he still chose me, now that I’m back. I really feel sorry for you”
I clenched my fists under the table, my nails digging into my palms. “Just say what you came here to say so I can leave”
Elena smirked and gestured to the cup in front of me. “Have some coffee. Relax. This won’t take long”
I grabbed the cup and took a gulp, frustrated

My vision is blurred, and my limbs feel heavy I tried to stand, but my knees buckled, and I collapsed back into the
chair
Elena’s face was the last thing I saw, her smile widening. “Sweet dreams, Ashley You’ll find out what he said.”

When I woke up. My body ached, and I realized I couldn’t move. My wrists and ankles had been bound.
I struggled against the restraints. “What… what’s happening?” I whispered, my voice hoarse and filled with panic.
Elena’s face appeared above me, her expression calm yet chilling. “Good, you’re awake,” she said, brushing a
strand of hair behind her ear.
I looked around my surroundings and I flinched.
“Why why am I here?” My throat tightened as fear clawed its way up my chest.
Elena smirked. “Ace wanted to take care of a little problem. You see, he doesn’t want your child. He never did. He
only thinks that bastard to be an issue. After all, he wouldn’t want to pay everything for him, after divorce.”
My voice trembled as I cried out, “You’re lying! He wouldn’t… he wouldn’t do this! This is his child!”
Yes, Ace wouldn’t do this… Even though he didn’t care about me. He loved children a lot. He wouldn’t… right?
Elena leaned closer, her voice a venomous whisper. “You really believed he’d let you have this baby? You were nothing more than a substitute for him. You were never meant to be part of his future.” She paused, and added, “He
doesn’t want to see this bastard.”
Tears streamed down my face as I desperately tried to escape, to protect the one thing I had left of my own. But it
was useless.
“You can cry all you want,” Elena said coldly. “This is what Ace wants.”
I sobbed my screams muffled as darkness claimed me once again.
When I woke up again, I was in a hospital room. My entire body felt heavy, and my stomach throbbed with a persistent ache.
I lifted the blanket, my trembling fingers tracing the fresh cut on my abdomen.
“No…” My voice cracked, and I felt the world spin around me. “No, no, no!”
The realization hit me. They had taken my baby!
I stumbled out of the bed, tears blurring my vision as I rushed out of the hospital. My legs felt heavy, but I
couldn’t stop.
As I burst through the doors, I saw two familiar figures running toward me. Asher and Austin. Relief washed over
their faces as they reached me.
“Ashley!” Austin’s voice was filled with panic. “Where have you been? We’ve been searching for you everywhere!”
I collapsed into Asher’s arms, unable to hold myself up any longer. His strong arms wrapped around me,
steadying me as I broke down completely.
Austin had been the closest to me, but I had no idea why I chose Asher at this moment. But his hug made me feel
comfortable.
“Ashley, what happened?” Asher asked softly, his voice filled with concern.
I sobbed into his chest. I had no idea how to break it to them.
After calming down, I broke the hug. “The baby is gone… The baby is gone. Ace killed the baby. He
away our child. It was his child. How could he ?”
I pressed my lips, unable to say it any longer.
“Don’t say anymore, don’t say anymore,” Asher comforted, caressing me.
