“Did you sleep well just now?” Max asked.
“Yes, I even had a dream,” Gina replied casually.
“What did you dream about? Can you tell me? It was not about Gabriel, was it?” Max asked, his tone slightly sour.
“No, it was kind of like a memory dream, a mix of real and unreal events. I dreamed about my days at the orphanage when I was a child,” Gina said as she looked up to observe Max’s expression.
She thought most people would be curious and ask her something upon hearing the word “orphanage,” but Max did not seem surprised by the revelation.
She thought she would soon find out whether Max was indeed the son of that couple.
Following Max into the villa, he knocked on the study door.
“Come in,” a gentle female voice called from inside.
Max opened the door, revealing Faith, who was sitting at the desk reading a book. She thought it was only Max coming back and did not look up until Max said, “Mom, I brought a friend home. She said she wanted to meet you.”
Faith looked up and was stunned by Gina’s beauty. She greeted, “Hello.”
