“Sabrina, did you hear that? He will only love me for the rest of his life.”
After I finished speaking. Sabrina walked out of the hallway, crying so hard that it even made my heart ache.
She didn’t even have the courage to question Antonio.
She just held Antonio’s hand and asked, “Why have you been ignoring me lately?
“Why? Do you really not want me anymore? Antonio, that’s not what you used to say.
“If you had told me you didn’t like me from the beginning, how could I have possibly entangled you?”
She hugged Antonio tightly, crying her eyes red.
She couldn’t stop crying at all.
Apparently, Antonio didn’t expect that I would ask her over.
For a moment, he was also at a loss.
Antonio felt very distressed and wanted to help Sabrina wipe away her
tears.
However, he didn’t dare to really reach out.
“I don’t like you. I told you a long time ago, but you didn’t believe me. If you keep coming to me, my wife will get angry,” he said, glancing at me.

Seeing my indifference, Antonio could only repeat his harsh words to Sabrina over and over again.
“Sabrina, have some self–respect, OK? I’m married, and you’re putting me in a dilemma.”
His words became more and more merciless.
Sabrina’s face twisted with rage.
However, to me, these words were nothing more than a drop in the ocean.
After all, Antonio once said to me that I was nothing but a waste and that I should kill myself.
Every time he met Sabrina, he would act like a madman, mocking and criticizing me nonstop.
He even asked me to get plastic surgery, saying I looked hideous with a flat nose and a big face.
And he told me I had foul breath when I spoke in the morning.
Now, all he said was to ask Sabrina to have some self–respect.
However, Sabrina was already unable to take it.
Although her depression had improved significantly, it was still unstable.
After she heard all that, she had a relapse.
She burst into tears, wailing, “How could you say that to me? If I die, will you stop blaming me?”
Antonio couldn’t bear to see that. When he turned to look at me, I said with a smile, “If you go finalize the divorce with me tomorrow, you are free to leave with her tonight and take care of her. And, you won’t have to
pretend to love me anymore.”
At first, Antonio strongly disagreed.
However, when he saw that Sabrina was about to cut her wrist, he gave
in.
Crying, he agreed to go through the divorce procedure with me.
As Sabrina was carried into the ambulance, Antonio kept asking me for another chance, but I ignored him.
The next day, Antonio and I went to finalize our divorce.
He looked a bit dazed when he showed up, and he kept stealing glances at me when I was signing the papers.
Seeing the determined look on my face, he finally sighed and signed his
name, too.
When we walked out of the courthouse, he said to me, “How about having a final meal together?”
After I refused, he shook his head with a bitter smile and then drove
away.
