Xavier and Yvette were sitting quite close to each other. While listening to her, he could smell her nice body scent. He gulped.
Recently, he had started to have dreams about their past, including their intimate
moments.
“Do you still not believe me?” he asked. His voice was hoarse.
Yvette looked at him. Figuring that he wouldn’t lie, she shook her head. “No, I’m just thinking that you’re amazing. Although you can’t see, you can play the piano. You even helped me amend my piece.”
The helplessness in her voice gave him a clue as to why she had sounded so sad when he had come in. Her spirit seemed to wither.
“Because I have to excel,” he said softly.
She was stunned.
He continued, “I’ve been dreaming about my childhood lately. I took all kinds of classes. I was groomed to be the heir of the family. I had no choice but to grow up.”
He paused momentarily before continuing, “Even today, it’s the same. If I’m not good enough, how can I look after you and your baby?”
Yvette didn’t know how to respond to that.
Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around her. “Yvvy, can we start all over again? I love you very much.”
This was the first time she had heard those three words from him.
If he hadn’t lost his memories, he wouldn’t have confessed.
Since he had been a child, he had always received love from others. He hadn’t cared about loving others. Even if he liked someone, he would hide his feelings.
Yvette was so shocked that she didn’t push him away. Xavier tightened his arms and dipped his head, wanting to kiss her.
“Mom, Mister…” a voice interrupted them.
Yvette came back to her senses and shoved Xavier away. She headed outside the room. “Zac, you’re back.”.

Losing his sense of gravity, Zachary began struggling. “Put me down! You big bully!”
Xavier was going to teach him a lesson, but when he heard Viola coughing, he released him.
Zachary then realized that even this bastard had someone he was afraid of.
Viola was like a mother to Yvette, which made her Xavier’s mother-in-law. It seemed that every son-in-law was the son-they were afraid of their mother-in-law. Xavier was no exception. Zachary had an idea. He scurried to Viola’s side, zipping his bag open. “Grandma, how are you feeling lately? I miss you every time I’m at school.”
The mere sight of the little boy brightened her day. “I’m good, and I miss you too.”
He asked, “Didn’t you say you missed sweet and sour carp from your hometown while you were overseas? Mister told me that he would catch those carp for you from the river tonight.” Viola was slightly surprised to learn that Xavier and Zachary had actually been
