Yvette had no idea that Yara had come to Sangine County and seen her living in the run-down house. Yara didn’t contact Yvette either. She had only come looking for the latter because of the eight billion dollars Matthew had.
A few days ago, she had received a call from Daphne, who had told her that Yvette was still alive. She had also learned that Yvette had returned to Tirion and was working with Titan Corporation.
So, Yara had returned to the country; thinking that Yvette had changed. Unexpectedly, she found out that Yvette had taken Xavier to court and ended up being miserable.
Seeing how close Yvette was with Viola and how they lived in a run-down house, Yara told the driver to take her back to Tirion.
While she was on the road, she called Terrence. “I saw Yvette today. That money definitely wasn’t hers. You have to find a way to get it.”
She figured Yvette wouldn’t be living in an old house like that if she had eight billion dollars.
“Don’t worry, Mom.” After saying that, he asked, “Did Yvette say anything when she saw you? Does she know about Dad and Sis?”
Terrence wasn’t talking about Yvette when he mentioned a sister.
“Of course not. I’m also not letting Zoey know that she has such a useless sister.”
Although Yvette wasn’t a big shot, she wasn’t as broke as Yara assumed. She had composed many pieces of music in recent years and made a lot of money.
Since she had lived with Viola when she had been younger, she knew what it was like to be poor. She wouldn’t be able to afford a hearing-aid, and she also knew how stressful it was to have someone with hearing-impairments in the family.

That night, after Yvette tucked Viola in bed, she started preparing dinner for Xavier and herself. She made all the food that he didn’t like, especially carrots.
Since Xavier couldn’t make food for himself, he had no choice but to eat what Yvette gave him.
“Have more carrots. They are good for your body,” she said.
Xavier had hated carrots since he had been a child. However, after hearing what she said, he endured it and ate the vegetables little by little. “Alright.”
He was really obedient at that moment.

Back then, he had said, “I don’t like having strangers at home. You’re already pushing my limits by being here. If you can’t handle the chores, go back to where you came from.”
In hindsight, she had realized that it wasn’t that he didn’t like strangers. Instead, he had clearly been trying to torture her.
