“My marriage wasn’t good enough, but that doesn’t mean it’s the same for every marriage. If you have any issues with yours, I hope you can fix them and live a happy life with your wife.”
When Xavier saw the long message, he felt extremely complicated. He couldn’t help but type, “But I think she doesn’t love me anymore. What can I do now?”
When Yvette heard her phone pinging in a daze, she grabbed it and saw a message from the person in charge of the contract website from before.
She hadn’t thought that he would have marriage issues as well, let alone reply to her.
She asked, “Is there any misunderstanding between you two?”
When Xavier saw it, he thought about it and started typing. “I used to treat her badly previously… She used to love me before.”
After he sent the last message, he quickly deleted it. That was because the man that Yvette loved had never been him!
He paused for a long while and retyped his message. “I used to treat her badly previously. Now, she’s with someone else, and they even have a child together.”
Yvette didn’t expect the person she was chatting with to be Xavier at all. Naturally, she didn’t think that he was talking about her. “I’m sorry. I don’t know how to help you either,” she said. Soon, there was another reply. “It’s alright. I won’t let her leave, even if she doesn’t love me!”
When she saw that and was about to reply to him, he had gone offline. Yvette thought about leaving him a message after he had helped her. Suddenly, someone knocked on the bedroom door. She didn’t know how long Xavier had been standing at the door. “Are you awake now? Come have some breakfast now.”
Yvette immediately kept her phone aside, and Xavier noticed what she was doing. He knew she had been chatting with him earlier, but he purposely asked, “Who are you talking to?” She got up from bed and calmly lied, “Kiki.”
He didn’t expose her at all.
After she was done washing up, she sat at the dining table and enjoyed the piping hot breakfast. Her appetite had gotten better now, but she couldn’t have meat at all. Whenever she smelled meat she would feel nauseous.
However, she couldn’t show that in front of Xavier at all. So, she could only vomit in secret while inside the bathroom with the tap running.
After having breakfast, Xavier helped her put on multiple layers of shirts. When they went out, he even covered her with a big coat.
“Where are we going?” Yvette didn’t want to go out. The atmosphere in Tirion was clammy. No matter how many clothes she had put on, she would still feel cold and didn’t want to move at all.
“Get inside the car first. You won’t
feel cold in there,” he gently said, and she finally got into the vehicle. After they had started driving, she looked at the familiar route and realized where he was taking her.
Half an hour later, they arrived at Snyder Residence. She hadn’t thought that he would actually buy the place back.
When she entered the building, she noticed that it was tidy inside, and it looked exactly the same as it had before.
Xavier had told someone to turn up the heat in advance. So when she entered the manor, it was warm inside, and she didn’t feel cold at all.
“What did you do to make Daphne agree to it?” she asked. When she first returned to Tirion, she had wanted to buy the manor back as well.
However, Daphne hadn’t been willing
