Chapter 201
Shawn and I decided to spend our honeymoon across the ocean. Finally, we got a chance to relax. As soon as we landed, he took me straight to a boat and sailed to a secluded island.
The island was lush with trees and covered in sunflowers, even more stunning than the previous villa. I was completely stunned. Shawn hugged me from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder. His warm breath tickled my ear as he murmured, “So? Do you like it?”
My eyes sparkled and I nodded with a bright smile. “I love it.”
“I bought this island just for you. Even the name is yours.”
I turned to look at him in surprise. His eyes shone like the night sky and he dipped his head to plant a soft kiss on my lips. “Sierra Island.”
“Sierra, seeing you happy makes me feel like the luckiest man alive. This life love you for a lifetime.”
…
it’s everything I ever dreamed of. Sierra, I swear I will
I nodded firmly. I was happy, too. So, this is what it feels like to be truly loved. I hoped I had made the right bet this time. Our honeymoon was perfect. We spent our days soaking up the sun by the sea and cruising on a yacht. What I never expected was to run into someone familiar here. When Shawn went to the bathroom during dinner, the server who brought him the king crab was Joshua. I stared at him in shock, completely frozen for a long moment.
“Evelyn! I knew it! You can’t fool me!” Joshua took one look at my reaction and became even more certain. His eyes locked onto mine with absolute conviction.
“I … “I opened my mouth to say something, but Joshua suddenly grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of the restaurant.
“What the hell are you doing, Joshua?! Let go of me!” In the sunflower field, I shook off Joshua’s hand and looked at him with annoyance.
“Evelyn, I knew it! I knew you were alive! Do you even know how much I suffered?“}
I lifted my head and met his gaze directly, without a trace of fear. Because in our five–year marriage, I was never the one in the wrong. I raised an eyebrow, my voice clear and my eyes bright. “I’m sorry, I don’t know. You were the one who insisted on divorcing me. Isn’t my death exactly what you wanted?“}
“Evelyn, I lost my memory. That wasn’t my intention. The person I love is you. Can you give me another chance?“}
