Chapter 10%
When Sebastian heard the package was from me, he leaped up, eager as ever and signaled for the cameraman to switch angles. With a grin stretching across his face, he signed for it, his joy almost tangible.
At that moment, he seemed to merge with the man who had once held me close, tears of happiness flowing after a successful proposal.
But deep down, I knew the truth; he was no longer the man who once cherished me.
Our love had faded, swallowed whole by my own misguided hope.
Sebastian beamed at the camera and shouted, “Brianna, I knew you wouldn’t leave without a word. This must be the gift you prepared for our wedding, right?”
“Everyone, come on, help me flood the screen with blessings! Get ready for the surprise!”
Fiona’s curses were drowned out by the tidal wave of well–wishes flooding in.!! Sebastian watched the live stream numbers rise, holding up the package triumphantly.
“Everyone, shout louder, cheer harder! I want the whole world to know I love Brianna!”
ป
The livestream surged in popularity and soon, strangers poured in, offering their blessings with no clue what was truly going on.
With deep emotion, Sebastian turned to the camera and asked, “Brianna, can you see this? My love for you is as vast as the heavens, undeniable and true. Tell me where you are, and once I finish with this package, il come to find you!”
He eagerly tore open the package and pulled out a glass bottle
Inside the transparent container, an oddly shaped, underdeveloped embryo floated eenly.
Guests in the front row exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of what they were seeing…
It was a gynecologist who finally spoke up, breaking the silence. This looks like an underdeveloped embryo tissue, doesn’t it?“) As her words echoed in the room, Sebastian pulled out a piece of paper!
His face drained of color as he stared, eyes wide, at the abortion form in his trembling hands
I had never imagined the man I once loved could be such a skilled actor
His eyes, bloodshot and filled with despair, teared up rapidly, his lips quivering.
“It’s impossible!” he whispered, voice cracking. How could this happen…7%
“Brianna, you must be punishing me for forgetting you! I was wrong, so wrong…!
With shaking hands, he reached into the package and pulled out a voice recorder, pressing the button repeatedly in his frantic desperation
Finally, the recording played and his voice, mocking, filled the room.
“This is the last time I’ll ever fool her. Ill stop after sleeping with ten more girls.”
“Come on, guys, get me some girls. I need a virgin, at least once every three days. ”
The words rang in my ears like a cruel mockery!
Sebastian, unable to bear the truth, dropped the recorder, but it continued to play, his cruel words echoing in the air, drowning him in his own memories.
A sudden, painful memory hit him. He recalled that night the doctor had called him to the hospital to sign the papers.
What had he said back then?%
He had said it didn’t matter if the child was his or not !!
That was probably the moment Brianna had lost all hope in him.}
He dared not even consider the thought that had he gone to the hospital that night things might have turned out differently
This was the child he had longed for the child he never knew he wanted.
Though he had never cared about whether Brianna could have children, deep down, he had always dreamed of having a child, a symbol of their love.”
But it turned out that he was the one who had destroyed that dream.
He had made Branna face the abortion alone, forced her to be hospitalized alone and, worst of all, kicked her out of their home.
He had ignored her refused to trust her and when she was at her lowest, most broken point, he had forced her to donate blood
He thought of those ten or so missed calls that night.X
He was sure something had gone horribly wrong.
Without thinking twice, he pulled out his phone, his hands trembling as he dialed the obstetrics and gynecology department at the hospital, following the prompts with a sinking heart.!!
