I frowned. “Ms. Sue, you should take that up with Charles Grosham. He’s the one who hired me
as a gardener. If he wants to fire mo, he’ll have to be the one to do it.
“I know it! You and Charles Gresham are having an affair.” Lotitia Sue stood up and walked
towards me. “Thon I’ll treat you to a good show.”
Seeing Letitia Sue’s strange expression, I backed away. “What do you want to do?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. I just want you to hide in the closet and watch how Charles Gresham dotes on mo.” After Letitia Sue finished speaking, she picked up a stick from the corner and knocked me unconscious.
This isn’t an invitation, it’s outright coercion!
When I woke up, I found myself in the closet of Charles Gresham’s bedroom dressing room.
My hands and feet are tied up, I can’t move.
After a moment, Charles Gresham’s voice came from outside: “Eva Lynn, where are you?”
Charles Gresham got home from work. He didn’t see me in the Garden, so he came to the
bedroom looking for me.
I wanted to answer him, but duct tape sealed my lips shut, so I couldn’t make a sound.
The master bedroom door was pushed open, and Charles Gresham walked in. He looked
surprised: ‘Letitia Sue, what are you doing in my room? Have you seen Eva Lynn?”
I perked up my ears to listen to their conversation.
Letitia Sue rushed forward, throwing herself into Charles Gresham’s arms: “Charles, I missed you! Did you miss me?”
Charles Gresham impatiently pushed Letitia Sue away, his expression serious: “Where’s Eva
Lynn?”
Letitia Sue said coquettishly, “Charles, don’t be so mean. Eva Lynn left with my million dollars,
a fortune she could never earn in her entire life. She’d abandon you for money in a heartbeat,
unlike me..
Heh. Charles Gresham scoffed, “You really don’t think before you speak. You probably don’t
know I recently transferred over twenty million in spending money to Eva Lynn’s account. You
think she’d leave me for your measly million?”
Letitia Sue’s face changed, consumed by jealousy. “What? You actually gave her that much
pocket money? What’s so great about her? Why are you being so generous with her?”
“Eva is my girlfriend now, and I’ve always been generous with my girlfriends. You have no
right to question it. Get out. Charles Gresham’s tone towards Letitia Sue was icy.
“Charles…” Letitia Sue trailed off.
Seeing Charles Gresham’s expression grow increasingly grim, she steeled herself and 口 doubled down on her lie. “To tell you the truth, I think I saw Eva Lynn and Ryan Gresham driving utf together. If you hurry, you might still be able to catch them.”
“What…?” Charles Gresham grabbed his car keys and rushed out of the bedroom.

Once Letitia Sue was sure Charles Gresham had gone downstairs, she went to the walk–in closet and opened the closet door.
She dragged me out of the closet, a look of madness on her face. “It seems Charles Gresham is quite infatuated with you. If I can’t have him, neither can you.”
As she spoke, she grabbed one of Charles Gresham’s ties, tightened it around my neck, and gritted her teeth. “Only if you’re dead will you stop trying to steal Charles Gresham from me. And Ryan Gresham, too. They’re all mine!”
I struggled, my breathing becoming increasingly difficult.
She’s insane! Letitia Sue must be insanely jealous to think of silencing me by killing me.
The next moment, Charles Gresham burst into the room and rushed towards me.
He pushed Letitia Sue aside and pulled me into his arms, “Eva.”
Letitia Sue, still in shock, stammered, “Charles, you…didn’t you leave? Why are you back?” “Idiot. I’d barely stepped outside when I ran into Ryan Gresham. Your story is full of holes.” Charles helped me untie the ropes and ripped the duct tape off my mouth.
Ryan Gresham followed closely into the house, loosening the diamond watch on his wrist. A old, gloomy look touched the corner of his mouth. “Letitia Sue, I hear you tried to murder our little ardener? There will be consequences for that.”
