The warmth radiating from his chest enveloped Thalassa entirely, causing a dangerous yet alluring sentiment to spread throughout her being.
His intense and passionate aura brushed over her face, making her heart flutter, and her eyelashes tremble.
After lifting her tipsy gaze, she locked eyes with Lysander.
His eyes were shining like the moon on a starless night. They also held a limitless and mysterious depth that no one could fathom.
The simmering glint in his gaze displayed his restrained desires.
While taking in his intense gaze, one that could devour her at any given moment, Thalassa gathered an unforeseen amount of courage and brushed away his hand that was tracing her chin. After placing her hands on his chest, she pushed him away.
“Hey, hey, don’t get the wrong idea, okay?” Thalassa chuckled. Her eyes sparkled with astuteness as she teased him.
It was clear to both of them that she was enticing him.
Lysander’s eyes darkened even more. His Adam’s apple bobbed, and he reached out to grasp her slender waist. With a gentle tug, their bodies were pressed together seamlessly.
His handsome face leaned down until it was almost touching her cheek. His gaze was predatory, making him seem like he was about to take full control of her. His chiseled side profile brushed against her delicate cheek as he whispered next to her ear, “Are you trying to reject me or invite me? Do you think I should let you go?”
Her body was faintly scented with alcohol, and due to her slight intoxication, her cheeks were warmer than usual.
Lysander pressed his face against her soft and warm cheeks as every cell in his body cried out for her.
Thalassa’s pupils dilated, and her body tensed up. Her heart was pounding wildly, as if she had become his defenseless prey.
Thalassa’s body froze, and her breath became ragged, but she tried to keep it under control.
“You’ve got it all wrong. I was clearly rejecting you. Why should you have your way all the time? I have a right to push you away when I’m not happy!”
Thalassa regained some of her sobriety and tried to reason with him.
But she forgot that when she was with Lysander, he was the law.
“Let me tell you why.” Lysander lifted his head slightly as his eyes intently focused on hers.
Thalassa’s breath hitched under his intense gaze. Before she could react, Lysander leaned down and captured her slightly parted lips in a kiss.
“Mmm…” Thalassa’s eyes widened, and her body became taut.
“Mommy, Daddy, what are you guys doing in the bathroom?” Elowen’s childish voice echoed.
Thalassa jolted in surprise. Her mind went blank, and she quickly pushed Lysander away.
“I know, they’re taking a bath together!” Dorian quickly chimed in.
“Huh? Are Mommy and Daddy taking a bath together?” Elowen asked in confusion.
The four little ones stood in the room, looking at the silhouette of a white figure and a black one behind the frosted glass.
The white figure was undoubtedly their mother, and the black figure was naturally their father.
The little ones outside began discussing whether their parents were taking a bath together.
Thalassa was in such a panic that her vision blurred. After pushing Lysander away, she quickly turned around and opened the door.
Upon seeing the curious and innocent eyes of her four little ones, Thalassa, still catching her breath, hurriedly explained, “Mommy and Daddy weren’t taking a bath. We were just… talking…”
Lysander watched Thalassa’s flustered back as his deep eyes cooled slightly.
“Were you whispering?” Elowen tilted her head as her eyes sparkled with curiosity.
“Yes, yes. You guys were whispering, so we couldn’t hear.” Dorian added.
Thalassa was at a loss for words. Her only option was to change the subject. She went over and gently hugged Elowen and Dorian. “Why haven’t you guys taken a bath and gone to bed yet?” She asked softly.
“We wanted to see you, Mommy.” Dorian replied.
