“Mom, stop overthinking. There’s more to Grandma Sybil’s death. Lysander is looking into it.” Thalassa paused for a moment before adding an earnest remark, “Mom, stop trusting Bruce. He doesn’t love anyone but himself. He’s been deceiving you all along.”
Evelyn’s blank stare was replaced by a flood of tears as the harsh reality hit her. The pain was unbearable.
