Heaning her child’s innocent voice, Thalassa’s panicky mood was instantly soothed.
In a flash, she felt helpless and confused. Hastily wiping away her tears and straightening up, she pasted a smile on her face, heading to the bedside, trying to sound as gentle as possible, “Atticus, how come you’re up so early?”

But dad was an adult. If they could find dad, he could protect Thalassa.

“Does he love you a lot?” Atticus lifted his head, looking seriously at Thalassa.
Thalassa shook her head, saying, “Not much.”
“If he doesn’t love you, he won’t protect you. Then we don’t need him. We’ll always be with you. When I grow up, I’ll protect you,” Atticus said very seriously.
Did Thalassa say this because dad was bad to her before?
Then he didn’t need such a dad.
Thalassa felt both sour and moved. Her precious boy being so sensible made her heart ache.
She blinked, kissed Atticus‘ head, her voice a bit hoarse, “I’m very happy to have you guys.”
At night, Isabella, with a face mask on, was plotting against Thalassa.
Just then, the home door was knocked.
She thought her parents were back, so she opened the door.
Standing at the door were two tall, well–trained bodyguards in black suits, obviously men of status.
Isabella was a little unsettled, asking, “Who are you looking for?”
“Isabella, Mr. Sinclair wants to see you. Can you come with us?” One of the bodyguards said, expressionless.
Isabella was taken away.
