Chapter 1496Lysander glanced at the chowder on the table before his gaze shifted to the documents laid out in
front of him. With a casual air, he said, “I’m not hungry. Let me see those papers.”
“Oh, these ones?” Rosalind picked up the documents that were in front of Reginald.
As Lysander reached out, she handed them over to him.
Lysander flipped through the pages, from the first to the last. It was a jewelry design proposal,
complete with design concepts and sketches. Though only partial sketches were included, they
were enough to reveal the designer’s skill.
Lysander’s deep gaze turned to Reginald as he asked, “Did Thalassa design this?”
Reginald shrugged, “Of course.”
Hearing this, Lysander’s expression hardened. It had been three years since he last saw her,
transitioning from a secretary to a jewelry designer. Avoiding all contact with him and never stepping
foot in Royal Estates again, was this her way of striving for a career? And her method involved
getting close to Callum?

This thought made Lysander’s temples throb, a hidden pain stirring within him.
Three years ago, her relationship with Callum was ambiguous. Had she been with Callum all this
time?
“Lysander, do you think this design works?” Rosalind, noticing Lysander’s tense demeanor and the
shift in his aura, blinked and asked tenderly.
Closing the file, Lysander said, “You’re the designer, you decide.”He put the documents on the table and began to push his wheelchair, turning to leave.
Rosalind, anxious, looked towards Reginald for help.
Reginald said, “Mr. Sinclair, don’t rush. Let Rosalind push you back. There are steps at the
restaurant entrance, so be careful not to trip.”
After saying this, Reginald gave Rosalind a meaningful glance.

Rosalind quickly caught up and grabbed the wheelchair’s handles. “Lysander, it’s my fault. I didn’t
realize you were tired. I’ll take you back now.”
Lysander remained silent but stopped pushing the wheelchair, allowing Rosalind to take over.
It had been a month since Lysander’s awakening, and though he had regained motor function in
most of his body, his legs remained weak, confining him to a wheelchair.
After medical check-ups showing normal results, the doctors suggested that his leg’s motor nerves
hadn’t recovered yet. They mentioned that with time and rehabilitation, the nerves would likely
regain function faster.
Lysander rarely went out, but today, Rosalind had taken him for a change of scenery. On their way,
Reginald texted Rosalind, asking her to review some design sketches and give her opinion.
So, Rosalind brought Lysander along, not expecting to encounter Thalassa! And to find out the
design sketches were Thalassa’s work!
In the car, with the driver in front and Rosalind and Lysander in the back, Rosalind noticed
Lysander’s stern expression and his silence throughout the ride. She said apologetically, “Lysander,
I’m sorry. I had no idea Thalassa would be at the meeting. If I had known, I wouldn’t have come. I
hate to see you upset.”Lysander’s jaw was set, his voice deep as he responded, “She’s not worth my upset.”
Rosalind gazed at Lysander, struck by his profile—sharp, handsome, noble, almost regal in his
beauty, breathtakingly so. His current aloof demeanor and his words made Rosalind’s heart race
with excitement.
Had Zephyr’s advice worked? Was Lysander beginning to dismiss Thalassa, looking down on her?
If Lysander could clear his heart of her, Rosalind saw a chance to make a place for herself there.
