Lysander’s face was etched with shadows as he heard Zephyr’s words, his eyes a cold abyss.
“Susan is Bruce’s daughter too, Grandpa. You even went to see her today. Why be so biased against Thalassa? She might’ve slipped up this time, nearly hit me, but I want to believe her and give her another chance,” Lysander said earnestly.
Zephyr was right. Lysander was in too deep. He had fallen for Thalassa, and he never knew that loving a woman could feel like this.
Overpoweringly wanting to claim her, boiling with anger at the slightest contact she had with another man.
If she tried to escape, to ignore him, his heart would feel like it was missing a piece.
He couldn’t understand before why Leopold was so fixated on a woman, unable to forget her for five years.

“Grandpa, please calm down. Don’t wreck your health over this…” Amelia hurried over, soothing Zephyr’s back.

Lysander was pale, his voice low, “Thalassa’s pregnant now. It’s mine.”
“What?” Zephyr’s head snapped up, his gaze shifting from shock to disbelief and then to a tragic, hollow laughter.
