Thalassa’s heart skipped a beat under Lysander’s piercing gaze, and she found herself instinctively stepping back.
“Did I say something wrong?”
Lysander’s towering frame advanced towards her, his chilling presence closing in. Thalassa retreated again, but her steps were no match for his rapid approach. Blinking, Thalassa was momentarily confused by his question. “The sheets are fresh, no one’s slept in them. Aren’t they clean?”
“Touched by someone with purposes, can they still be clean?” His index finger tipped her chin up,
his frosty gaze locking with hers.
A shiver ran down Thalassa’s spine as she suddenly understood his insinuation. He was disgusted that Callum had been sitting on the bed.
But that bed was for her mother to sleep in, what did it have to do with him?
“Lysander, I told you, we just happened to meet…”
Before Thalassa could finish, her lips were seized in a fierce kiss. He ravaged her mouth, leaving no corner untouched.
He sucked on her lips with such intensity that it seemed he wanted to devour her whole.
The domineering gesture carried both punishment and rage.
Thalassa soon found herself gasping for air, her brain starved of oxygen. She was on the verge of suffocation.
Her eyes widened in panic, and as she instinctively inhaled deeply, she was filled with Lysander’s robust masculine scent and the overpowering sweetness of his kiss.
“Cough…” Her desperate breaths were too rushed, and she choked on her own saliva. A cough wracked her throat, but the sound was trapped as her mouth was still sealed by his.
Just when she felt like she was going to pass out from discomfort, Lysander released her lips, his handsome face coming close to her ear, his warm breath tickling her cheek as he spoke in a low, magnetic voice, “This is what drowning feels like. How did you feel?”
Gasping for fresh air, Thalassa’s chest rose and fell rapidly. Hearing his words, she shook her head. It was unbearable, terrifying.

Thalassa shook her head. “No.”
Her words had been in jest, but he had taken them seriously, punishing her with a simulation of drowning.
He was too domineering and too forceful with her.
Seeing her lips swollen from his kisses and the panic-stricken glimmer in her eyes, Lysander’s anger receded slightly. “Never let his name pass your lips again!”

Thalassa understood that what Lysander had said in front of Evelyn and Callum was just to shame her and nothing more.
