Overhearing this sensitive conversation, the servants discreetly bowed their heads and scattered from the dining area, busying themselves elsewhere to avoid the wrath that might spill over onto them.
“Ouch! Mom, let go!” Alaric winced in pain, raising his hands in a surrendering gesture.
