Staring at the glamorous dresses under the lights, Wingy was almost in tears, wishing she could rush forward and grab them all. As the staff ushered her out she kept glancing back every few steps.
The other socialites left begrudgingly as well. Unable to do anything, they complained about Winry
“Mr. Jaywalker never said he’d buy you clothes. You tricked us into getting excited for nothing.”
“Mrs. Jaywalker? Please, you must be delusional.”
“Winry, I told you Michael wouldn’t be interested in someone like you. Do you even know your place?”
Listening to her friends sarcastic remarks, Winry paled in embarrassment,
Yet, she found it puzzling, Josephine is from the countryside and is a fool. Where did she get the money to buy
clothes?
After venting their frustration, the socialites left Winry behind.
The massive five–story boutique was cleared out for Josephine alone, with the manager personally attending to her.
The store was quiet now. Josephine browsed through the clothes by herself, intending to buy only one

“Ms. Sommer, Mr. Jaywalker instructed that you may choose anything in the store.”
Josephine’s gaze landed on the store’s signature piece.
This was the very dress Winry had tried to purchase earlier by offering ten times its price, only to be refused outright.
The white gown, adorned with rhinestones, sparkled brilliantly under the lights, exuding a certain ethereal charm.
“Is this dress for sale?” Josephine asked, her eyes fixed on it.
A strange, familiar feeling passed through her as she stared at the dress.
The manager hesitated for a moment before smiling. This dress was originally designed ten years ago by a special customer. Unfortunately, she fell seriously ill and became too weak, so the dress was left half- finished. Instead, she bought another dress and returned to her hometown. Such a masterpiece is incredibly rare. Our boss later sent it overseas to have it completed and brought back as the store’s signature piece. He said it’s only meant for someone destined to have it.”
Josephine’s eyes lingered on the gown as her heart gave a subtle ache.
“What kind of customer would be considered ‘destined?” she asked.
“Only a customer turning nineteen today is allowed to try it on. The customer, Ms. Josell, designed this dress as a birthday gift for her daughter. It was also her final work. There will never be another like it in the world.”

Without him, she wouldn’t have been able to receive the dress her mother had personally designed for her -a final gift, and the last clothing piece she’d ever made

Winry stood outside, hiding behind a tree.
After being kicked out of the store, her friends mocked her for quite a while before leaving her behind and threatening to expose her embarrassment on social media.
Humiliated, abandoned, and turned into a laughingstock among the socialite circle, Winry was furious.
Unwilling to let it go, she stayed outside the store, secretly watching the events inside.
She had to find out what Josephine was up to.
Inside, the lights illuminated the elegant gowns, each more stunning than the last, making Winry’s jealousy burn even brighter.
To her shock, she saw the manager respectfully hand over the store’s signature dress–the one she couldn’t buy even at ten times its price–for Josephine to try on
How could a fool like Josephine warrant such respect from the store? Besides, where did Josephine get the money to afford such expensive clothes, and how did she become a VIP customer? What had happened after Josephine ran away from home?
One question after another popped into Winry’s mind.
She began to sense that Josephine might not be as foolish as she had seemed.
Could it be that Josephine had been pretending all along?
Winry gasped, covering her mouth in shock.
From Josephine’s behavior earlier, she didn’t seem like a fool as all. Why would she pretend to be a fool, though?
Just then, a burly man entered the store and walked over to Josephine, eagerly helping her carry her shopping bags.
Winry’s spirits lifted as she shoved her earlier thoughts aside and focused intently on the pair,
She saw Josephine talking and laughing with the man as they walked our fogether, looking very close.
“That d’mn girl! She ran away from home and hooked up with a sugar daddy!”
Winry watched in disbelief as Josephine and the man got into a black Porsche and sped away.
Emerging from behind the tree, she stomped her foot in frustration.
No wonder Josephine is so confident and even dared to talk back to me! It turned out she had found herself a wealthy patron after leaving home. That Porsche alone is worth nearly ten million!
Just that Porsche alone was close to ten million!

Grinding her teeth in anger, Winry was swimming in jealousy. She had tried every trick to please Michael, yet she couldn’t even touch his sleeve. Meanwhile, that foolish Josephine, with sheer luck, managed to latch onto a rich man as soon as she stepped out the door.
Winry knew full well–while Josephine might have been mentally slow, her beauty was undeniable.
Josephine’s mother, whose surname was Josell had been celebrated as the most beautiful woman in Yolham’s medical field. Not only was she skilled in medicine, but she was also a talented designer, making her the epitome of beauty and brains, with countless admirers.
Thankfully, fate had its way, Josephine only inherited her mother’s looks but not her intellect, leaving her a fool!
Otherwise, with Josephine’s face and any seductive tricks, stealing Josephine’s fiancé would have been even harder.
Thinking of this. Winry quickly ran home.
She had to discuss this with Eunice and figure out whether Josephine was truly a fool or just faking it!
She needed to come up with a plan before Michael met Josephine again.
One that little vixen would seduce him all over again!
