That day, he was also in a bad mood. He had just made an appointment with the doctor to revisit his underlying health issues.
At seventeen, he had been involved in a car accident and had stayed in the hospital for three months before he was discharged. However, after his release, his personality underwent a drastic change. Not only did he become more volatile and aggressive, but he also found himself unable to interact with women.
Whenever he had any intimate contact with a woman, even if it was just holding hands, he would become uncontrollably agitated. At times, it would escalate to the point of violence, as though he transformed into someone else someone who neither knew who he was nor could control his actions
Over the years, the Jaywalker family had spared no expense in inviting renowned doctors from both within the country and abroad. Yet, they were still at a loss over his strange illness, unable to even identify the cause of the disease.
He Had kissed Josephine in the bathtub last night, but after being rejected, he stormed out, feeling both a blow to his pride and fearing he might fall ill.
Unexpectedly, he didn’t.
In other words, he could touch her.
After Michael ended the call, all Josephine could do was put down her phone and turn her head.
Not far away, Winry had already selected numerous clothes. Leading a few salespeople, each laden with bags full of purchases, she strutted around like a queen on inspection.
Quianna and a few of her best friends had also made quite a few selections, their hearts brimming with joy. They surrounded her, continuously showering her with compliments.
Winry carried herself with the air of a noblewoman, thoroughly relishing the sensation of being flattered by everyone around her. In the past, she couldn’t even make a name for herself among the socialites of Junbert. But now, with Michael’s backing, she had leaped to prominence, becoming a central figure overnight.
She had already purchased dozens of items, yet it still didn’t feel enough. She pointed at a white dress hanging on the wall.
“Take that one down for me.”
“Apologies, but this is the treasured item of our store. The owner mentioned it’s only for those who are destined to have it.”
“What? Are you worried that I can’t afford it? I’ll buy it at ten times the price!” Winry declared confidently. With Michael backing her, she was far from short of money.
Ms. Sommer, I’m truly sorry, but the owner won’t sell this item.”

expected the store to refuse to sell it.
Despite her offering a price ten times higher, the salesperson still shook her head.
Winry reluctantly turned away to try something else.

The group of socialites spent over an hour trying on clothes, completely worn out, yet their faces were all brimming with smiles.
Josephine casually played with her phone in the corner patiently waiting until they had nearly finished. their selections. Then, she called Jorvan and strolled over, offering a sly smile to the exhausted Winry.
“Winry, have you finished choosing your clothes? If you’re done, you can leave now!”
“Why are you still here?” Winry was initially taken aback, but quickly, she felt a surge of irritation.
This fool is acting out of character today, opposing me at every turn, and now she’s actually telling me to leave?
Just as Winry was about to unleash a scathing rebuke, Quianna gave her a subtle glance, signaling her to hold her tongue. Then, she let out a malicious chuckle
Josephine, if you were to kneel and call Winry ‘Mrs. Jaywalker, wishing her and Mr. Jaywalker a happy marriage, she might even gift you a piece of clothing bought with Mr. Jaywalker’s card.”
The socialites nearby all burst into laughter, looking at Josephine as if she were a clown.
Josephine glanced at the shopping bags in Quianna’s hands. “Not bad, quite a haul. But do you really think that someone is paying for the clothes you’ve spent so much time and effort picking out?”
-Winry said it. It’s all on Mr. Jaywalker’s tab!” Quianna said harshly, showing no respect for Josephine at all.
Winry found it rather strange. Why is Josephine speaking to clearly today, unlike her usual foolish self?
Afraid that Michael might see Josephine if he arrived later, she hastily called over a salesperson. “Get her out of here. I don’t want outsiders in the store while I’m shopping for clothes.
The salesperson hesitated as she glanced at Josephine. Although it was against the store’s policy, the fact that Michael, a major client, was backing Winry made her someone they couldn’t afford to offend.
“Ms. Sommer, please leave.”
“What if I don’t want to?” Josephine said, her tone icy.
“Do you really think you have the authority to make decisions here?” Winry said sternly.
At that moment, the office door swung open and the manager hurried out, a look of anxiety etched on his
face.
Without hesitation, Winry stepped forward, pointing at Josephine, and ordered, “Manager, there’s someone here causing a scene and ruining my shopping experience. Get two security guards to remove her and make sure she isn’t allowed back in the future.
The manager barely acknowledged her, completely disregarding her presence. He brushed past her, walking straight through the shocked crowd until he reached Josephine. There, he bowed and offered an apologetic smile.

“Ms. Sommer, we apologize for the inconvenience. We were unaware of your arrival and our hospitality was not up to the mark. Please feel free to express any eeds you may have.”
Winry’s eyes widened in surprise.
What’s going on here?
Josephine said casually. “Nothing much, it’s just that some people here are spoiling my shopping mood. Could you please clear the area?”
“Sure.” The manager immediately turned to Winry and the others. “I’m sorry, our VIP client has requested privacy. Please leave.”
“What did you say?” Winry finally snapped back to reality. “Are you mistaken? Josephine is a fool. How could she possibly be a VIP client? Look closely, I am Ms. Sommer!”
Quianna stepped forward as well. “Mr. Jaywalker specifically asked Winry to come here. You should call Jaywalker Group right away and verify! Josephine is just a fool!”
The manager’s smile faded. “Do I need to repeat myself Ms. Josephine Sommer is a VIP client of our store. Please refrain from being disrespectful toward our VIP clients. Furthermore, there is no one named Winry on our VIP list. So, who’s paying for the clothes you just purchased?”
Winry, seething with anger and putting on airs like a high–class lady, pointed her finger at the manager. “Didn’t I just tell you? Charge all of this to Mr. Jaywalker’s account! You owe me an immediate apology. and also, kick Josephine out, or I’ll have Mr. Jaywalker deal with you!”
“The call has already been made. Jaywalker Group denied any knowledge of this.” The manager glanced disdainfully at Winry. “Or maybe, you should call them yourself!”
Upon hearing that no one was picking up the tab, the socialites were taken aback.
“I’m calling him right now!” Winry glared at the manager before dialing Michael’s number. She was determined to get him to fire this manager.
Winry reached for her phone, only to realize she didn’t have Michael’s private number. Left with no other option, she called the landline at Jaywalker Group’s front desk.
She switched to speakerphone, making sure the manager could hear everything.
After a pleasant ringtone, the call was connected.
