She was standing in front of the mirror, trying on a backless dress when she caught sight of someone entering from the doorway through the mirror’s reflection. Immediately, she turned around.

I finally got Mr. Jaywalker to like me and buy me clothes, so I called up a few of my best friends to hang out to flaunt

Upon hearing the word “fool, Winry’s friends looked confused. Even the salesperson, who was about to greet her, wore a look of disdain.
Winry briskly walked up to Josephine and said in a low voice, “Did you call Michael again? Did you follow me here knowing he asked me to buy clothes?”

A wave of discomfort surged through Josephine. He had forcefully taken her home, declaring his intentions to marry her, yet he sought out Winry later on, even buying her clothes.
Mom was right. The more handsome the man, the more fickle his heart.
Josephine was about to turn around and leave when Winry grabbed her.
“Stop right there! Since you’re already here, why leave? Come and help us with our clothes!”
She was determined to flaunt Michael’s affection toward her, intending to make Josephine give up once and for all.
She gave her best friend Quianna Rowland a look, signaling her to bring over everyone’s clothes and hand them to Josephine.
With great effort, Quianna carried over a large pile of clothes. “Here, take these. They’re all high–end designer dresses. If you stain them even a little, you won’t be able to afford the damages!”
Josephine glanced at the dresses. Taking advantage of Michael paying the bill. Winry had invited all her best friends to come and shop for clothes.

“Of course.” Winry glanced at Josephine, deliberately raising her voice. “With Mr. Jaywalker picking up the tab, what’s there to worry about? It’s okay even if you boy out the whole store.”
The group of best friends exchanged glances. Despite their status as prominent socialites in Junbert, they hailed from second and third–tier families, Such expensive clothing wasn’t something they could simply purchase on a whim.
With envy in her eyes, Quianna said, “Winry, Mr. Jaywalker dotes on you so much. When you marry into the Jaywalker family, don’t forget about us.”
Winry felt quite flattered and pleased as her best friends kept addressing her as “Mrs. Jaywalker.”
In the past, she had always been the one flattering these high society ladies. But today, she could finally hold her head high in front of them.
There was no way she would allow Josephine to marry into the Jaywalker family.
Josephine picked up a long blue dress. Myla had always wished for her to receive a gift on every binhday. Unfortunately, money was tight. Nevertheless, she decided to carry on Myla’s wish and buy herself a birthday present.
Just as she picked up the dress, a hand reached out from beside her, rudely snatching it from her grasp.
“Do you like this piece? Can you even afford it?” Winry said sarcastically.
Then, she turned to the nearby salesperson. “She’s a fool. She doesn’t have money to buy anything. You don’t need to entertain her. I like this piece too. Wrap it up for me!”
Josephine was in a foul mood. She turned away, not wanting to engage with her, and picked up another piece.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she touched it, Winry swiftly snatched it away.
Josephine saw through her deliberate act, her gaze turning frosty. “Can’t you choose for yourself?”
“How dare you glare at me?” Winry was astonished to see that even a fool could get angry. She looked her.
