The first cry was sharp and loud, followed quickly by a second, softer but just as strong. Relief and joy flooded me as I sank back against the pillows, my body trembling from exhaustion. The midwife carefully wrapped two small bundles and handed them to Kent.
“They‘ re perfect,” he said.
I turned my head, my heart hammering as I caught my first glimpse of our twins. Kent cradled them as if they were the most precious things in the world–and they
were.
“A boy and a girl,” the midwife

“He has your determination,” Kent said, chuckling.
“And your stubbornness,” I countered.
Then came the girl, smaller but just as vibrant, her dark eyes opened and curious. My heart swelled as I held her. Kent leaned closer, his arm around my shoulders as he kissed my temple.
“They‘ re ours.”
“They‘ re ours,” I echoed, tears slipping down my cheeks.
Outside, the Crimson Moon Pack waited. Word had already spread that the twins had arrived, and everyone was excited. When Kent finally stepped out, holding our son while a midwife carried our daughter, the roar of celebration was deafening.

I tilted my head, curiosity sparking.
“What’s that?”
“A vow.”
I smiled.
“Then make it, Alpha.”

“I vow to protect this family, this pack, with everything I have. No matter what comes and no matter the cost.”
Tears filled my eyes as I echoed his words.

The wolves howled, their voices blending into a single, harmonious cry. It wasn’t just a sound but a promise, a declaration of unity and hope.
I looked up at the moon, its light bathing the clearing in silver. For the first time in years, I felt at peace. The past no longer bothered me. The future was for us to see.
But this is where I truly belong. And I
