Third Person’s POV
Raegan stood in the grand hall outside Bianca’s chambers, his jaw light, his eyes focused on the heavy door ahead Every fiber of his being was burning with the urgency of the situation. His mind raced, thoughts colliding like
a storm
He turned to his right–hand man, a tall, imposing figure who had stood by his side through countless battles. *Go in and collect hair samples from Bianca, Raegan ordered in a low voice. “I need them sent to the royal doctors immediately
The man gave a curt nod, his expression unreadable. “Understood, Your Highness. He knocked softly on the door before entering, leaving Raegan standing alone with his thoughts
Raegan didn’t want to think about how the day had unfolded. The competition had started as a display of royal strength, a chance for Bianca to prove her place as the rightful heir to the throne. Instead, the arena had witnessed her failure. The shock on the crowd’s faces had been enough to make even the most confident wolves hesitate.
Turning away from the door, Raegan made his way down the corridor toward the medical wing. Laurent had arrived soon after Remi had fallen, his face drawn tight with concern. Raegan had barely exchanged words with him, his mind far too consumed by the chaos that had unfolded.
But Laurent had been right there by Remi’s side, helping to stabilize her, his worry palpable. Raegan could see it in his eyes–his old friend was torn between his duty as a head knight and his growing feelings for the woman who was suddenly laying unconscious.
Meanwhile, a day after, in the royal doctors‘ chamber, the air was thick with tension. A few of the most
respected healers and scholars had been summoned to inspect the unconscious women. They moved swiftly, their expressions grim as they worked over Remi, trying to stabilize her.
“What do we know about her condition?” Raegan’s voice broke through the quiet, making the room fall silent. He had arrived just in time to witness the doctors‘ intense discussion.
“She’s-“One of the lead doctors started before hesitating. “We’re not entirely sure yet, Your Highness. We’ve done all we can for now.”
Raegan’s impatience flared. “Not good enough. I want to know what’s causing this.”
In another part of the palace, Eros stood seething in the hallway. His blood boiled with rage, every instinct screaming at him to charge into the medical wing and demand answers. His wolf, too, was furious, pacing inside him like a caged animal. The idea that his heir–his child–was in danger sent a chill through his entire body. He needed an heir! That was all that mattered to him.
“What are they doing to her?!” Eros growled, the sound deep and guttural.
Daisy, who had been trying to calm him down ever since Remi had collapsed, moved closer, her eyes filled with concern. “Eros, please, you need to calm down. Why don’t you just let it be? And we can just make another heir for
our pack!”
“Shut up!” Eros snapped, turning on her with a vicious glare. “Don’t fucking say that again.”
Daisy hesitated, her face softening with worry. “I know you just want to get her back, Alpha–reason why you’re desperately clinging to that child, right? And what about me? I am the love of your life!”
Her voice raised and it did nothing to quell his fury. His wolf was restless, clawing at him, demanding to be let loose. He stepped back, his claws lengthening, his body trembling with the desire to shift and break out of the
confines of his control. He couldn’t. Not here, not now.

In a fit of rage, he shoved Daisy aside, pushing her roughly into the wall. The force of his push sent her stumbling, her back hitting the stone with a thud. She winced in pain, but her eyes remained locked on him,
unwavering
“A–Alpha!” she shouted. “What are you doing? Get a grip!”
But Eros couldn’t hear her. His mind was spinning, his thoughts consumed with the fear that Remi–his own
blood, his heir–was slipping through his fingers,
“Don’t test me, I can leave you anytime.”
