“Damn it,” Lucas cursed, reaching to grab the back of her collar and fiercely hurling her on
to the floor.
“Check if she’s dead,” he said.
A man in black went forward to check and reported, “She’s still breathing, but she’s unconscious. She seems to be in a somewhat critical condition.”
As soon as he finished speaking, a pool of sticky blood flowed down Ada’s thigh.
