Ophelia left the lounge and found Mark waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs.
Mark said, “Mrs. Sinclair, I had someone keep an eye on Hardy yesterday as you said, and someone indeed went to see him.” He whispered, “It was Zayn Huxley.” Ophelia hadn’t expected that.
She said, “Are Zayn and Hardy close?”
Mark sneered. With one as the head of a major family and the other as a top executive in Sinclair Group, it was not surprising they had connections, but….
Mark said, “From what I know, their friendship wasn’t close enough for one to visit the other right after he got hurt.”
Ophelia understood.
In other words, these two were mostly in it for mutual benefit.
She thought, ‘Did I guess it wrong? It’s not Mr. Ronan Sinclair coming back to seize power?’
Ophelia stopped pondering and decided to see what was really happening first.
In the meeting room, Zayn was sitting on the couch with two bodyguards standing behind him, and a middle-aged man who looked like an assistant by his side.
Ophelia had been in the room for a while, but Zayn didn’t even glance up. He was just enjoying the coffee in his hand.
Zayn said, “Gino, our company should also stock some great coffee like Mr. Sinclair’s. It’s been a long while, but it still smells good.”
Gino said, “Okay, Mr. Huxley.”
Ophelia also caught on to the underlying message. With a faint smile, she said, “I’m sorry for making you wait, Mr. Huxley”
The person on the couch remained unmoved as if he hadn’t heard her.
“Mr. Huxley, Ms. Spencer is here,” Mark reminded him in a stern voice.
He thought, ‘If it were Mr. Sinclair here, this old brat wouldn’t have dared to be so arrogant.’
Zayn stayed quiet, but his assistant, Gino, spoke up, “Ms. Spencer? Are we in the wrong place? Isn’t this Sinclair Group? Who is this Ms. Spencer?”
“Come on, Gino. Mind your words!” Zayn scolded. “Ms. Spencer is actually my junior. Don’t you remember? Our company’s design subsidiary was handed to her. Have you forgotten?”
Gino said, “Oh, I do remember. But how did someone who sells clothes start managing a large company? No wonder such a big problem came up, and no one can solve it.”
Zayn put down his cup and said, “Don’t say that. She’s still young, anyway.”
The two of them acted a sarcastic scene.
Mark could hardly endure it any longer, but Ophelia kept a faint smile, and her beautiful eyes were still bright.
She said, “Mr. Huxley, are you here today just to drink coffee? Mark, get Mr. Huxley another cup of coffee. Since he likes it,

Mark said, “Yes, Ms. Spencer.”
Ophelia looked at Zayn and said, “Mr. Huxley, since you love chatting with your subordinate, then enjoy your chat with coffee. I have other things to deal with.” With that, Ophelia turned and walked away.
Her casual tone managed to freeze the smile on Zayn’s face.

Before Zayn could speak, Gino stepped forward and said, “What do you mean by that? Do you think Mr. Huxley is here just to chat?”
“But I didn’t hear you talk about any real business.” Ophelia’s tone was as innocent as it could be. Then she turned around to meet Zayn’s cunning gaze.
Her eyes were so innocent that Zayn was momentarily stunned.
He suddenly felt guilty somehow.
Zayn stopped wasting time and said, “I’m here today to find out how Sinclair Group plans to handle the loss of my shipment.”
Ophelia had reviewed the documents and knew that the Huxley family suffered the most losses.
Furthermore, the Huxley family was in the pharmaceutical business, and many raw materials had to be delivered at specific times, or they would become unusable.
Before Ophelia could speak, a secretary hurriedly entered and said, “Mr. Thompson…”

Mark was contemplating solutions when the tablet in his hand was taken by Ophelia. She said, “So many people here? Great invite them all upstairs so we can solve this together.”
“Mrs. Sinclair, are you sure about this?” Mark felt these people were really troublesome, as they had worked hard to reach their positions and were very determined.
Ophelia said, “Yes, absolutely. Invite them here for some coffee and let them chat with Mr. Huxley.”
As she said this, she looked at Zayn inside the room with a bright smile but a pair of cold eyes.
Even though Mark felt this might not be the best idea, he still followed her order and invited those representatives of various companies upstairs.
Since there were so many people, he invited them all to the meeting room.
These people were just as noisy as the executives yesterday. They were all talking to each other in their seats.
“Mark, please serve coffee to everyone,” Ophelia’s voice rose slightly, remaining calm and composed in her seat. Someone shouted, “We’re not here for coffee!”
“Exactly, we want to know when Sinclair Group will resolve the issue with our shipment compensation!”

She’s known for getting things done quickly, so I’m sure she’ll handle this well,” Zayn slowly said, giving Ophelia lot of praise. Ophelia chuckled. She thought, If Kenneth were here, these old brats wouldn’t have dared to come here or talk like this:
Mark was worried that Ophelia might not understand the intricacies, so he explained, “The relevant departments are investigating, and your goods have been temporarily held. You should be approaching the government, not our Sinclair Group. I’m sure you all know this.” They said, “Mr. Thompson, we have no choice! If we go ask the relevant departments, they’ll only let us wait, but we’re just small companies and can’t afford to wait!”
“That’s right. Please have mercy on us. We still need to make a living!”
“Indeed! Sinclair Group won’t be bothered by such a small penalty.”
