Chapter 22
In Silver Blade Pack.
A black Benz was parked by the street.
Beside the car, a chubby, middle–aged woman was sitting in an armchair letting a maid rub her fat shoulder from
the back.
“How much longer?” Mrs. Hellen Ravenwood closed her eyes and asked.
A short and stout man was smoking his pipe with his son by the roadside.
“About half an hour.” Mr. Paul Ravenwood checked his phone and said.
“Mom, you might want to stand up and wait for Alpha Damien to arrive.” Their youngest son John said to Hellen, breathing out a smoke.
“Why on earth would I have to stand up?” Hellen grunted, “Chloe is the love of his life! Alpha Damien favors us now. We no longer have to be as cautious as we were when Aurora was around. I am telling you, adopting Chloe was the best decision we ever made!”
Paul giggled and nodded in joy, “Your mother makes a fair point, son.”
“When they get married, Alpha Damien becomes out son–in–law. He has to bow to us for a change!”
Just imagine that–an alpha bowing to them!
They could probably shop and dine for free in Silver Blade Pack and ask all commoners to make way for them.
How awesome was that!
They never enjoyed such privilege when Aurora was around. That bitch was a dumb head. She refused to give them any privileges because–according to her–it was against the rule. Fucking ridiculous!
But with Chloe, things were a lot easier.
She let Hellen borrowed money from the pack’s public saving. She helped Paul get away with his tax issue. She even got John out of a “hit–and–run” situation.
And Chloe was just Damien’s mistress for now. Imagine how much more power she would gain when she became
his Luna!
“Still, I don’t understand why Olive can skip this but I can’t! I was in the middle of a date when you dragged me here!” John complained.

Hellen opened her eyes and snaped at her youngest son, “Olive didn’t have to be here because he is busy training himself. He would soon serve in Alpha’s troops and became a generall What can you do except for fooling around
with those whores?”
John’s face turned red, “I want to do something! But those dumb corporates won’t accept my application. Why
can’t Chloe just find me a job in court?”
“Soon. Very soon. When Chloe becomes Luna, you can have any job you want. Even the Minister of Finance.” Paul
chortled.
“So just forget about those bimbos for one day and suck up to the Alpha. You need it more than your brother Olive.” Hellen stuck out a chubby finger and pointed at John.
“OK. The Alpha and I are best buds!”
“I trust you, son. You can be friends with anybody,” Paul patted his son’s shoulder lovingly.
Just then, the engine sound came from the distance.
The 3 of them stuck their head out and looked–it was a silver Rolls–Royce, racing towards them in full–speed.
“It is him! It is Alpha Damien’s car! My sister is in that car with him!” John cried loudly as though he wanted the whole world to hear that he knew the Alpha..
John rushed to the middle of the street, waving his arms in the air:
“Alpha Damien–Chloe-!!”
The car halted a sharp stop, almost running John over.
The backseat’s door flied open. Chloe lunged out and threw herself into Hellen’s arms in tears:
“Mom! Dad! I miss you guys so much!! You have no idea what I have been through in Ever Moon Pack…” Hellen opened her arms for Chloe, startled, “Oh my darling! What is the matter? Where is Alpha Damien?”
“He is in the car making a phone call.” Chloe wiped her tears on Hellen’s shoulder and casted a resentful gaze at the car. “Mom and dad, there is something that I need to tell you-”
Yet she was interrupted by a cool voice:
“It has been a while, Mr. and Mrs. Ravenwood.”
The Ravenwood family jerked around in horror and found a slender figure emerging from the car.

Aurora shut the door behind her and looked at her old acquaintances.
“Remember me?” she asked with a sneer.
A deadly silence fell upon them.

A few seconds later, John suddenly let out a sharp cry. He staggered back in fear as though he just saw a ghost in bright daylight:
“NO–NO WAY! You should have been-”
“Dead?” Aurora lifted the corner of her mouth into an cold smile, “I know that is what you all want of me–died. But sadly, I am not. Feeling disappointed?”
Hellen glared at Aurora with round eyes. Her toad–like face twisted in rage.
“No…Impossible…” she murmured, “But how…?”
“I survived.” Aurora smiled icily, “Even though you left me to the rogues to be raped and murdered…I still survived. I must have outlived your expectation, Mr. and Mrs. Ravenwood.”
Paul swayed on his feet, his face deathly pale.
He grabbed his wife’s hand for support, his nails digging into her skin, and cried out abruptly:
“Then why did you come back then? You survived, fine! Then just live your pathetic life elsewhere and leave us alone! I have disowned you as my daughter!”
Aurora stared at them coldly, “Yes, I believe you have.”
“Mom and dad! She is coming back for our money!”
John didn’t dare come close to Aurora, so he hid behind his parent’s back and screamed:
“That must be why she is back. For money! She must be broken and those rogues wouldn’t support her anymore because she is now old and ugly! I am telling you Aurora–we won’t give you a single penny!”
Aurora rolled her eyes, “Nobody gives a damn about your money-
BAHI
Hellen spat at her and cried at the top of her lung, “You shameless little rat! How dare you still dream about taking our money?! You have done nothing to help out this family! You couldn’t even get John a job in the court when you were Luna. How did I give birth to a filthy, useless rat like you?!”

Aurora wiped the spat away from her face and glared at them with cold eyes.
Her gaze was so sharp and intimidating that the Ravenwood family started to shiver slightly.
“Shh, shh. Just go!” John gathered his courage and hissed at Aurora like chasing away a fly, “Go back to where you came from! We will not spare you a penny!”
“She probably came from a whore house.” Hellen snorted in despise, “Where else could she make a living in the past 6 months? She didn’t have any skills.”
Aurora’s eyes gleamed coldly in anger.
“Coming from a whore house?” she snorted. “Are you talking about your dear husband? Ask him where he has been during those ‘late–night meetings…The answer might surprise you.”
Paul’s face went red instantly.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!” Hellen snarled. “Shut your filthy mouth, you little rat!”
She raised her chubby little hand and dashed at Aurora:
“I am going to kill you–!!!”

Aurora sneered coldly. Hellen looked no more threatening than a crazy hen in her eyes.
Raising a hand, she easily caught Hellen by the wrist.
Hellen was shocked.
She didn’t know Aurora could be this swift. Aurora was never able to fight back when she was attacked at in the
past!
“Here is a warning-”
Aurora leant close to Hellen’s sweaty face and hissed:
“Don’t fucking touch me–AGAIN!”

Aurora raised her left hand and landed a hard slap on Hellen’s fat face. It was such a powerful strike that Hellen’s
tooth became loose!
“Ahhhh–1”
Hellen shrieked desperately while staggering back, “Help! Somebody help! This crazy bitch is murdering me-

“What is the matter?”
A deep voice came from behind them–Damien just got off the car.
He just finished his call, and was just in time to catch the last part of their fight.
“Damien!”

Chloe rushed forward and grabbed Damien’s sleeve, sobbing, “Help us! Aurora–she just slapped my mother! Mrs. Ravenwood is her biological mother for Christ’s sake! And here is Silver Blade, not Ever Moon, we can’t let her ran amok on our land!”
“Right, Alpha!” John cried, “Aurora is crazy. She is asking for our money as soon as she came back. You must punish her!”
Damien’s face slightly darkened.
He turned to Aurora and was about to say something, when a honk came from the distance.
A striking number of troops was heading towards them down the main road.
All cars stopped when they came close. Soldiers on the truck all rose form their seats and saluted to Aurora in
unison:
-Gamma Aurora!”
Their voice was so loud that it sent birds flying into the sky from branches.
In the leading car, a black Bentley, the car window rolled down, revealing a handsome man’s face.
“What is the matter here?”
Lance stared at the aghast–looking Ravenwood with an icy smile, his
Ravenwood with an icy smile, his eyes narrowed.
“Is someone giving my Gamma a hard time?”
