Chapter 201 Calling Me Honey Is Futile 
The pot was boiling quickly, with the creamy mushroom soup bubbling away. With a practiced. hand, Kate added slices of meat and veggies into the pot, then scooped some into Eric’s bowl. She flashed him a smile. “Ric, give it a try.” 
Eric held back, picking up a piece of meat with a sceptical look. 
They ate quietly together, and halfway through, Kate’s phone rang, breaking the silence. 
Eric looked over, curious. Kate’s expression shifted slightly to something more remarkable as she took the call. 
On the other end, someone was almost out of breath with excitement. “Madam, just as you wanted, we’ve got someone at the Summer Estate messing around. They tried to get into the factory, aiming to mess up your stock and screw over your product launch in two days!” 
Unfazed and still eating, Kate asked calmly, “Did you catch them?” 
“Yeah, caught them red–handed right outside the factory. 
Kate couldn’t help but chuckle. “Got it.” 

After hanging up, she instantly switched back to her warmer demeanour. Catching Eric’s look, she didn’t wait for him to ask. “Ric, it looks like someone at the Summer Estate is trying to buddy up with Simon. Not sure if it’s Ruth or Simon directly, but they’re trouble either way” 
She added, “They were trying to sabotage my stock, but lucky for us, we were a step Looking at Kate with admiration and intrigue, Eric saw a different kind of glow in her.

Seeing Eric’s stern look, Kate quickly softened, aiming for a cuter approach. “Ric, I messed up. okay?” 
She jiggled his arm lightly, her face all charm. 
“I wanted to deal with it myself.”

Looks like calling him Honey wasn’t the quick fix she hoped for.
