This lace suit is the one Elias loves to see me wear the most. Every time I put it on, he turns into a wolf. It seems like you haven’t been satisfying your husband enough–|

Along with these messages, she had also sent Mira an assortment of inappropriate pictures
Just as Elias exhaled a sigh of relief, glad that all these messages had been blocked, his finger unwittingly slid to
the top of the screen
It was a divorce agreement.
And beneath it, his own signature
Elias‘ heart stopped as he stared at the divorce document before him. Bloodshot eyes widened in disbelief. He remembered the day he signed it–Vera had told him it was merely an insurance policy. Could it be… that Vera had
forced Mira into this divorce?
The sound of the bathroom door creaking open snapped him from his thoughts. Vera emerged, her skin still glistening with steam.
With a loud “pop,” her phone shattered into pieces on the floor.
“Where is Mira?” Elias‘ voice was cold, the air around him thick with menace. His eyes burned with a terrifying intensity.
Vera instinctively took a step back, her voice shaking. “I… I don’t know…”
“Speak!”
Elias‘ hand shot out, gripping her neck with a vice–like force, his anger building with every passing second.
Vera gasped for air, her face flushing as the pressure on her throat increased. “She…she went to Manchester,
England…”
She fought back, her hands trembling as she struggled to pry his fingers from her throat. “Let go… please let go…” She gasped, coughing violently.
Elias released his grip, his gaze indifferent as Vera crumpled to the floor, gasping for breath.
His mind raced, filled with disgust and anger as he thought back to the vile words he had just seen on her phone.
He had never imagined that the sweet, docile Vera could harbor such darkness
How could he have ever been interested in such a malicious woman, whose heart was as cold and poisonous as
a scorpion’s? What a pitiful price he had paid.
“Get out.” Elias‘ voice was like ice as he kicked Vera with the tip of his shoe. “Don’t ever let me see you again
Elias.” Vera struggled to rise, her voice trembling. “I know I’ve done something unforgivable to Mira, but she didn’t leave because of what I posted.”
“Mira knew about us long before. She asked me to give you the divorce papers to sign.
Vera’s voice cracked, her eyes filled with tears, but she continued to speak, desperately trying to manipulate him. “I admit I acted out of selfishness, not wanting you to know how soon she would leave.
She stepped closer, now trembling in front of him. “Elias, don’t blame yourself. It’s all my fault, I seduced you. Now that Mira is gone, you’re no longer married… And I won’t have to suffer from my illness anymore… Can you be with me? We were already planning our wedding… we just need the certificate…”
Slap!
Vera’s head snapped to the side, a clear imprint of Elias‘ fingers burned bright on her pale cheek.

“I told you to leave,” Elias‘ voice was frigid, his eyes devoid of emotion, as if he had shut her out completely.
Vera, her lip bleeding from the force, bit back a sob. She hastily gathered her clothes, picked up her shattered phone, and stumbled toward the door, her steps faltering as she fled the room.
The silence that followed was suffocating
Elias shut his eyes, his heart a whirlwind of guilt and self–loathing. He slapped himself repeatedly, the pain in his own skin nothing compared to the agony he felt deep inside.

Each thought of Mira–discovering his betrayal and choosing to leave without a word–was like a fresh wound, slicing through him with unbearable sharpness
He had hurt her
No matter how much he tried, how hard he fought, he could never undo the damage. How could he possibly win her heart back?
The thought of life without Mira by his side. It felt like an eternity of endless darkness.
