Lance stared at me and smiled, “Is that all the requests you have?*
I nodded, “Yes. So do we have a deal and can we get married right now?”
Lance’s eyes widened with surprise, “Right now?”
I shrugged, “Or we could wait another three years.”
Lance chuckled, “Alright. Now I see why my late grandparents liked you and insisted I get married to you.
I grinned, “I know, I’m a gem.”
Lance laughed as we stood up. He opened the door for me and we left the hotel. I was standing in front of my car while he stared at me with a smile
“What?” I queried.
He shrugged, “When we get married you realize we have to move in together.
I nodded, I had read the document I signed properly.
“Yes, I don’t have a problem with that as long as we maintain our respective rooms.”
Lance nodded, “Alright. Let’s get married.”
I drove in Lance’s car while my driver trailed behind us as we arrived at the court registry office. With Lance’s influence, we were able to get them to attend to us while our drivers acted as witnesses.
Twenty minutes later we were standing outside holding our marriage license. I stared at it and I shrugged, it didn’t mean anything I just need it to carry out my plans.
After what happened with Andrew there was no way I was making myself vulnerable again by falling in love with someone else.
“So I guess we’re married now,” Lance said.
I nodded, “Yes, we are.”
“Well, I need to get to work on arranging for a big wedding party and sending out invites,” he said.
I nodded, “You do that. I’m going shopping tomorrow”
He grinned, “Which mall?”
I smiled cockily, “I don’t know especially now that I have my shopping mall and my husband also has his own.”
Lance chuckled, “Take care of yourself, Lily, and I hope you get what you want from this party”
I smiled, “I will.”
I watched as Lance walked to his car before I entered my car and we drove off. I was excited that the first phase of my plan was taking shape.
Shortly after the car pulled up in the house driveway and I went inside. My parents were back and surprisingly they had guests. I knew who they were even though I hadn’t seen them for a while.
“Mr. And Mrs. Walter.” I smiled politely at them. They were Lance’s parents.

“Nonsense, dear! Call me Joy,” his mother smiled happily as she hugged me, “Or Mom, seeing as you are already married to my son.”
I smiled, “Hello, Joy” then his father hugged me with the same happiness, “Hello Sir.”
“It’s nice to finally know you’re both married and our families are united,” the man said.
I nodded, “Yes, that’s important
My mom walked up to me, “I’ll escort Lily inside so she can get changed.”
My mom took me inside my room and we sat down. She had a worried look in her eyes when she stared at me.
“What are you doing, Lily?” she asked me.
12:54 PM
I frowned, “What do you mean, Mother?”
“I’m worried, Lily. Are you losing your mind?” she queried.
I frowned, “What makes you say that, Mom? I’m perfectly fine.”
“Then tell me why you’re getting married so quickly,” my mom said, “We haven’t even talked about what
happened within these past three years and now you’re already married. It’s all too fast. I don’t want you to get hurt
again.”
I smiled at my mom, “I’m being very careful, Mom, I promise I won’t get hurt.”
My mom sighed, “Then why are you doing this?”
“It’s simple, Mom, I want to make Andrew pay. Only then will I be able to move on with my life without batting an eyelid,” I answered.
“But how does getting married solve that? Do you think he’d be jealous that you got married?” my mom asked.
I shrugged, “That’s not the aim, Mom, but that will be a nice bonus. Anyway, I need you to trust me.” My mom stared at me for a while before she sighed, “Fine, Lily, I trust you but I swear to God if anyone again, I will make sure that person regrets it”
I smiled and hugged my mom, “I believe you will.”
I was excited because very soon I’d have everything I needed.
