My parents stared at me with a worried expression on their faces as the lawyer asked the question and I couldn’t blame them. The last time we were seated like this was three years ago when I had bluntly rejected the will and ran off to marry Andrew.
My grandmother has always loved me so it wasn’t a surprise that when she died three years ago she everything for me. Her only condition was that I get married to a man she chose for me.

The man my late grandma had chosen for me was Lance Walter, the only son and heir of the Walter Group of companies. His grandparents had been friends with my grandmother and she was trying to unite our families but I was too stubborn back then to consider it
But during the days I had spent in the hospital as I hatched out my revenge plans I looked him up. First, he drop–dead handsome, and single. Second, his company was among the Top three richest countries in the US. ong with my family’s company
I also found out something that I was so eager to explore I decided to dive in headfirst after all, Grandma had
chosen him for me
“Honey, maybe you should take a moment to think about this,” my mom said, interrupting my thoughts.
I smiled, “It’s fine, Mom,” then I stared at the lawyer and nodded, “Yes, I agree to marry Lance.”
The lawyer nodded and gave me some documents to sign which I did.
“Once your marriage license has been registered, you can claim your full inheritance,” the lawyer said as she
The moment she left, Adam stared at me worriedly.
“Sis, are you sure? You just got out of marriage with Andrew,” Adam said.
I nodded, “I’m well aware, Adam. Now do me a favor and set a meeting for me with Lance tomorrow.”
Adam frowned, “I wouldn’t be able to pull that off so quickly”
“Just tell him it’s his bride, Adam, he’ll run to me,” I smiled.
My parents watched me as I walked inside. I saw the proud smiles on their faces and I knew I felt good. My self–confidence was back and I was ready to do some damage.
The following day I woke up early and took my time to get dressed. I wore very light makeup before I wore a black long dress in my wardrobe that had a slit up to my thigh. The dress hugged my body and brought out my curves exposing the right amount of cleavage.
Adam gasped when he saw me, “You look like you’re on a mission, sis.”
I chuckled, “Yes, I am ”
Adam handed me a car key. “Mom said to give you. They had a meeting at the office so they left early. Your driver is waiting for you downstairs.”
I hugged him, “Thanks, Adam.”
“Can I come along?” he asked.
“No, kiddo, it’s official business. Go play your game,” I said.
Adam made a face as he went upstairs before shouting, “Good luck.”
I got downstairs and handed the keys to the driver. My car was a beautiful black SUV and I got in beaming happily while slightly nervous.
Adam had reached out to Lance and the moment he heard it was his bride he accepted the meeting. We had scheduled the meeting in a private meeting room in a luxurious hotel
My car pulled up into the hotel and I glanced at my watch, I was thirty minutes late. I rode the elevator and arrived at the meeting room only to find it empty.
“I thought you’d run off again,” a husky voice said behind me
I turned to see Lance with his blue eyes and dark spiky hair, he looked more handsome than on the internet. His eyes were twinkling as he stared at me.

“Hello, Lance, I’m here to extend the marriage proposal from three years ago,” I said to him.
He entered the room and smiled, “Right down to business. No pleasantries or small talk about where and why
you left me hanging three years ago. You’re the reason I’m still single.”
“And I’m here to redeem that. There’s no need for pleasantries,” I said to him
Lance stared at me and shook his head, “No, whatever games you’re playing I want no part in it.”
I chuckled, “I did my research, Lance. I’m not the only one playing games. I know you don’t have full control over
your family’s company until you get married to me. Your grandparents left you the same will and stipulations
Lance shrugged, “I can decide to get married to someone else and keep running the company as it is.”
I scoffed, “And lose the company to your cousin? You’d rather die.”
Lance smiled, “Since you know me so well, Lily, what do you want out of this marriage aside from your inheritance?”
I smiled widely, “I just have two requests.”
He nodded, “Okay?”
*Throw a big wedding party after we’re done registering our marriage license,” I answered
He nodded. “Okay, that’s fine. What’s the second one?
