Tears streamed down my face as I squeezed her hand “I’m just so glad you’re okay, Sarah. I was so scared.”
“I know,” she said gently, wiping a tear from my cheek. “But you were here. That’s what matters.”
I needed to tell Roy the good news. He hadn’t been responding to my calls since he left yesterday, and I was worried about him.
“I’ll be right back, Sarah. I need to go find Roy,” I said, giving her one last squeeze.
“Tell him I’m better,” she replied, her eyes sparkling with relief
I hurried to Roy’s house, my heart racing with anticipation.
When I arrived, the door creaked as I opened it, and I called out, “Roy? Are you home?”
Silence greeted me, and I felt a sense of unease. I walked through the living room.
“Roy?” I called again, a little louder this time.
As I approached his bedroom, I noticed the door was slightly ajar. I pushed it open, and my heart dropped at the sight before me. There was Roy, asleep in bed, his arms wrapped around Raina

“You’re literally in bed with her!” I echoed, my voice rising.
“Please, let me explain,” he pleaded, sitting up and pushing Raina away
“No! I don’t want to hear it!” I felt tears welling up, the betrayal cutting deeper than I could have imagined. “I can’t believe you’d do this to me, especially after everything we’ve been through!”

“Your grandmother is okay!” I blurted out, my emotions spilling over. “She’s getting better. I thought you’d want
to know!”
Raina smirked, clearly enjoying the chaos unfolding “Oh, how sweet,” she said mockingly. “You played the good fiancée while he’s here with me.”
I glared at her, anger flaring inside me. “Shut up. You’re the last person I want to hear from right now.”
I turned and fled from the room, my heart pounding in my chest. I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of betrayal and hurt
As I rushed out of the house, I could hear Roy calling my name, but I didn’t stop. I needed to escape, to find a
place where I could breathe again.
The weight of everything crashed down on me, and tears streamed down my face as I stumbled away from the
house. I felt lost, broken, and utterly alone.
