Blake knew Calvin would act like that and said helplessly, “The footage of a road showed that Alfi fell into the river in order to pick something. He has been drowning for a few minutes. No other cameras are on the scene of the accident so I don’t know how he is doing. Don’t be anxious. I’ve called the firefighters. Both they and I will be right over.”
Calvin braked hard and the car almost bumped into the greenbelt.
Calvin’s vision became blurry and he felt as if he had been strangled, unable to breathe.
He still remembered how his cousin entrusted her son to him before she died. Her only wish was that Calvin could take care of her son.
He then stepped on the accelerator hard and sped to the location Blake sent him.

“The kid’s face turned livid from the cold. I think he’s beyond saving.”
“I feel sorry for him. He’s so young but he drowned at a young age. How sad his family will be?”
“Hasn’t the ambulance arrived?”
“I just called. The road ahead of us is now restricted, so the ambulance won’t arrive until 30 minutes later.”
“I also called the emergency number.”
On the riverbank, the bystanders surrounded the boy and discussed non–stop.
Stephanie and Lawson finally managed to break the encirclement of the crowd and saw Myrna press the kid’s chest hard, drenched as if she didn’t see the surrounding people.
“What is she doing?” Stephanie was curious.

Lawson saw that Myrna knew first aid and felt surprised. “She’s performing CPR on the kid. It’s a kind of first aid.”
Stephanie felt annoyed when she saw Lawson fix his eyes on Myrna. She pouted and said in a low voice. “When did Myrna learn this? She didn’t perform it just according to what she saw on TV, did she? The kid is so young. We should wait for the doctor’s arrival.”
Lawson also thought that Myrna shouldn’t recklessly rescue the kid because she wasn’t a doctor. She wouldn’t be able to explain herself if anything happened to the kid.
He slightly raised his chin and took out his phone. “I know people working at the Melcester General Hospital. I’ll call them to get them over here now.”
Hearing that Lawson knew people working at the Melcester General Hospital, the bystanders looked at him in shock.

Stephanie also felt honored because she was by Lawson’s side.
Only Myrna felt that the crowd was noisy, and irritation filled her fair face. Her clothes were still dripping with water and her long hair was stuck to her shoulder. The wet shirt was stuck to her neck. showing the bloody scratches the kid left on it.
Her fair face and the blood made her look stunning!
She pressed on the kid’s chest for a long time, but the kid couldn’t spit out the water and his breathing was growing weaker.
