Chapter 118 Take a bet
Lily clearly didn’t like the dingy metal shack we were in. After making the call, she left without lingering, seeming eager to escape the damp, musty air. The place reeked of mold, and the ground was covered in dust and rocks.
I knew little about minerals, but the scattered stones didn’t seem ordinary. Exhausted, I eventually drifted off, using the rocks as a pillow.

“But how did you notify Leonard? How did he know where to find you?” she asked, her eyes narrowing as they landed on my necklace. With a sudden jerk, she ripped it off my neck. “Damn it! You’ve been wearing this the whole time. When did he put this on you?”

No wonder the necklace had felt heavier. It was a tracking device.
