Morwenna had no clue what a bitch was like, but what she did know was that Adelaide was certainly making a scene.
Adelaide snapped, “Aren’t you going to apologize? They’re just spolled and uncouth because of their upbringing. That’s no reason to resort to violence.”
“Don’t listen to her excuses, Adelaide. Call the police. We need to call the police,” another voice chimed in.
“The bruises on me dre proof enough. I’m pressing charges!”
Adelaide, dressed in an extravagant gown and flawless makeup, stemly instructed the boutique assistant, “Please, call the police.”
Morwenna stood there in her wom clothes and bare face, a stark contrast to the opulence around her.
The discerning eyes of SY Boutique’s assistant could immediately tell the rich from the poor. The difference between these two women was glaringly obvious.

Traditionally, Adelaide attended the private gatherings with Stuart alone.
This time, Stuart had unexpectedly decided to bring Morwenna along.
With two dates, Stuart would make Adelaide the laughingstock of the event. She couldn’t let that happen.
Originally, Adelaide had orchestrated a confrontation to mar Morwenna’s appearance or at least get her hair cut, ensuring she couldn’t attend the gala. Who knew her minions would be so incompetent?
But now, it didn’t matter.
If Morwenna got arrested, she wouldn’t make it to the event anyway.
Adelaide hadn’t lifted a finger herself. Others had instigated the fight, and others were calling the police.
Even if Stuart found out later, he wouldn’t blame her.
Adelaide smiled smugly, satisfied with her machinations.
Just then, the store manager rushed over, scanned the group of women, and his gaze settled on Morwenna
“Are you Ms. Winslet?” she asked with a bright and welcoming smile.
Morwenna nodded solemnly, “Yes, that’s me. I admit I hit someone, but it was in self–defense.”
The manager nodded seriously, almost bowing slightly, “Yes, I’ve reviewed the surveillance footage. Ms. Winslet was indeed acting in self–defense.”

Turning to the other two women, the manager politely inquired, “Are you sure you want to press charges? The surveillance clearly recorded the sequence of events, Your actions constitute deliberate harm, which is punishable by law.”
The two women looked dumbfounded, turning to Adelaide for cues.

The manager smiled.
Morwenna was astonished. Could things turn out this way?
The manager no longer paid any mind to the others, turning to Morwenna Shall I take you to the second floor to get dressed?”

The second floor was SY Boutique’s VIP section. Ordinary people couldn’t even step foot there, regardless of their wealth. Clearly, this was Stuart’s doing.

The manager replied politely, “I’m sorry, but we have no arrangements noted for Ms. Gallagher.”
With that, the manager led Morwenna upstairs.
