Her Perfect Life After Divorce

Chapter 76: No Mediation, Only Divorce
“Gemma, this is your last chance.”
Marcus gripped his phone tightly.
His eyes were bloodshot with rage.
She had just called him a scumbagt
How dare she?
Teaming up with Brian to nearly destabilize the Wilson Group–what was she thinking?
She’s getting bolder!
“I really don’t get what you’re trying to pull this time.

Messing with my company or trying to take Ali away–what’s in it for you?
Or is this just to vent your anger?”
Gemma didn’t get it either.
She thought she’d made her stance clear. How could he still ask such a dumb question?
“Yes, it’s just to vent my anger!” she snapped.
Marcus sneered
“All this because my mom didn’t bring you food after giving birth? That was ages ago. Can’t you let it go?”
Hearing this, Gemma was so furious.
Back then, after delivering Alijah, she was so weak she slept for a whole day
The next morning, the doctor said she could ear
But her mother–in–law insisted she fast to avoid “tainting the milk.”
When she asked the maternity nurse for help, the nurse ignored her, only taking orders from the Wilson family.
Gemma ended up starving for another day, barely clinging to life.
If not for a nurse discovering her condition, she might not have survived
Her mother–in–law, who usually paid no attention to their lives, moved in and made it her mission to make Gemma
miserable.
She’d nitpick, throw veiled insults, and deliberately provoke her.
Worse, she refused to let the nanny care for the baby at night, forcing Gemma to manage alone.
At the time, Gemina considered divorce.
Let her mother–in–law have her way; at least she’d be free.
But then she looked at her tiny, fragile baby and couldn’t bear to leave. She gritted her teeth and endured.
If it weren’t for her background in nutriology and medicine, helping her recover post–delivery, those postpartum complications could’ve claimed her life.
That grudge the humiliation, the helplessness–it was unforgettable.
Since then, unless it was to pick up Ali, she avoided her mother–in–law at all costs.
But Marcus?
To him, the past should stay in the past.
What a joke!
He was the one who benefited, so of course, he could move on.
But if she let it go, if she stopped caring, if she forgave-
How could she face the woman she had been, curled up on that bed, knees hugged to her chest, silently crying because she
couldn’t even weep aloud?
“Marcus, I can’t live with you anymore, and no, I can’t let the past go!
And don’t even talk about giving me another chance. I don’t want it–I think you’re insane!”
With that, she hung up, cutting him off before he could say another word.
Let him stew in his own anger.
Gemma set the phone down and turned to her keyboard
The PDF she’d prepared was uploading.
20%
99%
She bit her lip, eyes locked on the progress har until it hit 100%.
Her clenched fists slowly relaxed.
“Mr. Wil
“Mr. Wilson, we have a problem!”
Roxie from PR burst into the office, her hair a mess, panic all over her face.
“Your wife released a statement!”
Marcus, fresh from smashing several cups, was just starting to cool down.
He turned, frowning at Roxie
“You’re a department head. Stop panicking like this.”

Roxie looked ready to scream.
“Mr. Wilson, just check your phone!”
Rubbing his temples, Marcus unlocked his phone.
His lock screen was the only photo he had of himself with Gemma
He glanced at it briefly before opening those apps.
And then, an avalanche of notifications drowned him.
Gemma’s PDF laid everything bare: how they met, their marriage, the timeline, the details.
It was backed up with solid evidence
Every point held up under scrutiny.
Even the sharp–eyed netizens couldn’t find a single flaw.
The conclusion was clear:
#Mr. WilsonCheatedWithMabel
The hashtag exploded, crashing the entire platform.
Everyone was talking about it.
“I thought Mabel was married with a kid–turns out she’s the mistress!”
“She’s been flaunting her affair for years. Mr. Wilson clearly allowed it. Poor Gemma.”
“Mabel stans, speak up!”
“Heartbreaking. Gemma deserves better–divorce him!”
“Boycott Wilson Group products!”
Even Wilson Group employees were gossiping.
Chapter 26: No Mediation, Culy Diners
“Mabel visits all the time. I thought she was the boss’s wife.”
“Is her kis illegitimate or not?”
“Well, great. Our stock’s already tanking.”
“Our website’s down too–fans are flooding it with hate!”
Marcus’s face darkened as he read.
The internet had turned him into a certified scumbag, a laughingstock!
Gemma had really gone all out.
Was she not afraid of being kicked out of the Wilson family?
If she thought this would affect him, she was naive.
He was a man
These things would only make him seem charismatic–rich, desirable, a little scandalous.
In three days, the buzz would die down, and he’d still be the dazzling CEO of the Wilson Group
As for her? She’d never step loot in the Wilson family again.
He didn’t even bother clarifying online. He just ordered PR to suppress the heat and minimize the damage
“Tell IT to strengthen the website. Website crashing Embarrassing
“Yes, sirt“:
The PR manager rushed out,
The next moment, his secretary entered with his office phone.
“Mr. Wilson, it’s the court.”
Marcus frowned
lum
Usually, legal matters weist through the firm. Why were they calling hun directly
Still, he took the call.
“Hello, this is the court mediator. We’re reaching out regarding your divorce case with Ms. Relestine. Do you agree to molation?
Marcus’s fire turned story again
Gemua was really dancing on his last nerve,
First threatening him.
Now asking for mediation?
She wanted a divorce? Fine,
“I don’t agreel
His voice was curt, “Let your superiors know, too–don’t bother me again. If she wants a divorce, she can have it!” Mediation was just a formality. It would eventually go to trial, and there would be appeals after that.
He’d see how far Gemma could push this before she broke
He couldn’t wait for the day she’d come crawling back, begging for forgiveness!
Gemma anxiously waited at the courthouse.
She didn’t want mediation but feared Marcus would accept just to spite her
She paced the hallway, nerves frayed.
“Ms. Kelestine.*
The mediator approached, apologetic.
Chapter 76; No Mediation, Only Divorce
The other party has refused mediation and sent an assistant to handle it.
If you have no objections, we’ll move forward with the process.”
Gemma clasped her hands in relief, silently thanking every god she could think of
“Yes, yes, move it along! Quickly!”
