Chapter 163
As Freya turned around, she saw Kieran approaching them from a short distance away. Kieran spoke coldly, “The affairs of the Sutton family do not require Mr. Tyler’s intervention.”
Hearing this, Preston didn’t say a word. He raised a hand, and Hans withdrew his own.
Leland thought Kieran was there to support him, but Jarrett stepped forward and landed another punch on Leland before the latter could revel in relief.
The so–called friends behind Leland, who had never seen such a scene, got scared and turned to run. But Kieran’s people were no pushovers, quickly catching up and dragging the two back.
Preston released Freya, pushing her toward Kieran. “Your family’s mess, you handle it.”
With that, Preston turned and left. Hans followed closely behind Preston.
Before leaving, Hans gave Kieran a dismissive glance. The two clearly held no regard for Kieran.
“What happened?” Kieran asked coldly.
Freya was covered in mud from head to toe, her hands dirty, looking disheveled.
Pointing to the subdued trio, Freya said, “Apart from the one who passed out, these guys were out to kill me. They even tried to rape me.” Freya spoke without mincing her words.
Leland’s face went pale instantly.
Kieran frowned.
Seeing the panic in the eyes of the men on the ground, one of them quickly said, “Mr. Sutton, I had nothing to do with this. It was all Leland’s idea!”
“Yeah, we tried to talk him out of it, but Leland wouldn’t listen, and there was nothing we could do!”
“Mr. Sutton, this is a family matter of yours. Please let us go!”
As the men began shifting blame onto each other, Kieran maintained a stoic expression and coldly instructed Jarrett, “Jarrett, handle this.”
“Yes, sir.” Jarrett approached the men, and upon seeing him, they all showed faces filled with terror.
Jarrett called some people over and started to rough them up, recording the entire ordeal.
Kieran then said to Freya, “Come with me.”
Freya followed behind Kieran, and as they reached the school gates, Kieran suddenly stopped.
Caught off guard, Freya bumped into Kieran’s back.
Kieran asked coldly, “Who did you contact first when the trouble started?”
“Me?” Freya frowned, confused by Kieran’s question.
Kieran pressed, “When trouble started, your first call was to Preston, wasn’t it?”
Freya couldn’t follow Kieran’s thought process. Not to mention that Freya hadn’t contacted anyone, but even if she had reached out to Preston, what was it to Kieran?
Freya responded, “Mr. Sutton, I’ll tell you seriously. I didn’t contact Mr. Tyler.”
