“I think you should just stay here Dear. You’re pregnant, you shouldn’t be involving yourself in this” Aunt Amelia uttered behind me as she watched me pack up a small luggage of the necessary things I needed for this trip.
“There’s no way in hell I’m going to sit back and let Damon suffer. Don’t worry about me Aunt, I’ll be fine” I assured her but I knew she didn’t believe me. I didn’t even believe in myself.
I didn’t know what I was getting myself into and I knew it was dangerous but I had to try anything and everything I could. I tried calling Delilah and Luca but they didn’t answer the phone. Something was terribly wrong.
Had they been captured as well?
“But what exactly can you do?” She questioned and before I could say a word, I heard Liam’s voice behind me.
“Don’t you remember? Clara used to be the best female warrior at our pack and always fought beside me. Plus, I’ll be right by her side because I’m going to” He assured her and I heard her heave a sigh of relief.
“But the children? They may get hurt during all this. Are you willing to risk it?” She questioned softly and I paused then slowly turned her as I rubbed my stomach.
“I’ll protect them and their father with my life. If anything ends up happening to them, just know that I’m dead” I told her and she gasped loudly after seeing the seriousness in my eyes.
Before she could say anything else, we heard a knock on the door.
“Are you ready? We should probably head out. We have a long way to go” Romeo called out from behind the door.
I immediately linked up my luggage and as soon as I turned around, Liam took it from my hand and threw it over his shoulders.
“I can carry it” I said to him and he smiled.
“I know you can but I insist. Plus a pregnant woman shouldn’t carry heavy stuff” He uttered then winked before walking away and all I could do was sigh before turning to Aunt Amelia who looked like she was about to cry.
“Don’t worry, we are going to be okay. After everything, you’ll come stay in my pack and help me take care of the kids as my mother. What do you say?” As soon as I said that, the tears came streaming down her cheeks.
I hugged her tightly and tried my best not to cry as well.
“Okay my love, I’ll be waiting for you both. Please come back to me in one piece, okay?” She murmured and I nodded.
“I promise” I replied then placed a kiss on her forehead before walking out of the room.
Soon enough, I caught up with Romeo and Liam outside.
“Can we leave now?” I questioned and Romeo nodded before opening the front seat door for me.
I smiled at him and was about to climb in when he stopped Liam from getting into the car.
“I don’t want you inside my car. You’ll ride with my second in command” Romeo said as he motioned towards the other car behind us.
Liam was about to argue when I shook my head at him.
“We can’t waste anymore time arguing” I told him and he stared at me for a while then let out a sigh before walking away but not to Romeo’s second in command car but his own.
I climbed in soon after and Romeo climbed in afterwards.
“Sorry for asking him to leave. I don’t trust him and I wanted to talk to you seriously” He uttered as he stared at the car and I nodded. I didn’t trust Liam either.
His whole appearance here seems so sketchy.
“I Also have a request but you can go first” I told him and he nodded.
“I was able to get a hold of Luca…” My eyes widened instantly and I turned my full attention towards him.

“Have you heard of the human hunters?” I questioned and he nodded.
“They have been tracking down supernatural beings for years so of course I know. What about them?” He asked.
“The leader is my uncle and I want to convince him to help us. I’ve already asked him to meet me but you’lf. have to take me to the meeting point without the others knowing” told him.
“Are you insane? That’s a hunter. He could kill you”
“He won’t. This affects me just as it affects us. He will help, I’m sure of it” I told him and he sighed.

“I have no other choice Romeo! I’ll side with Anyone now as long as they help me save Damon. We need all the help we can get” I said to him and he stared at me for a while then sighed.
“Where is the meeting point?” He questioned and I heaved a sigh of relief.
“I’ll direct you. We need to lose the rest first and by the rest, I mean Liam” I told him and he nodded.
“Leave it to me. Just know that if your uncle tried any funny business, I’ll kill him on the spot because my life is already on the line for accepting to take you to him”…
