Well, Theodore said flatly, it’s alright.
He had long gotten used to things.
It was impossible to not face any pressure managing such a huge company. He was only human; making mistakes and getting exhausted were inevitable.
However, he used to always have Rosalie by his side, and never felt tired because of her.
She would always be waiting for him at home.
Things have changed now, though. The house he returned to every day was empty, with nothing for him to look forward to. He found it exhausting, even without going to work.
Theodore’s physical fatigue was nothing compared to his mental fatigue.
Mr. Spencer, I can tell that you’re a responsible man, but no matter what, you need a healthy balance between work and rest. You have to take care of your own body, Aurora said.
Theodore nodded. I will.
Aurora shifted, looking rather uncomfortable.
Theodore asked, What’s the matter? Do you feel unwell again?
Aurora smiled awkwardly. I’ve been lying on the bed for too long, and my body feels a little stiff. If only I could head out for a stroll…
Let the nurse go out for a walk with you. Where is she? Theodore suggested.
No need, Aurora said with a wave of her hands. I told her she should clock out. She’ll only come in tomorrow morning. I wanted to give her some time to herself.
Theodore nodded. That’s fine. Why don’t I bring you somewhere around the hospital for some fresh air?
Really, you will? Aurora asked, delighted.

Of course she wanted to go for a walk with Theodore! She wanted it more than anything else in the world.
Give me a moment. Let me grab a wheelchair here.
With that, Theodore turned to leave.
I don’t actually need a wheelchair, Aurora said. I can walk. I have a heart problem, not a leg issue. Walking will be beneficial for me.
Really? Theodore felt rather uneasy about it.
Aurora pulled open the sheets, got out of bed, and took a few steps. See? I’m fine. Walking moderately isn’t an issue. The doctor gave me the green light to do so.
Alright then, Theodore said. Grab a jacket. It’s a little chilly outside.
Jacket? Aurora forced a smile. I don’t have one.
After arriving at the hospital and changing into the hospital gown, she didn’t have her own clothes and no one delivered new ones for her.
Upon hearing Aurora’s words, Theodore smiled, Pardon me. I forgot about it.
He removed his own jacket and handed it to her.
Wear this instead.
He wasn’t afraid of the cold.
No way! You’ll feel cold, too, Aurora said.
I won’t. Take it, or I won’t let you head out, Theodore insisted.

Aurora took the jacket from him, and draped it across her shoulders. His jacket was big and warm with a slight fragrance to it, which she
very pleasant.
She felt as though she was in his embrace, and it was very comforting.
She looked up at Theodore, her gaze coy.
However, Theodore avoided her gaze. Let’s go.
There was a small park next to the
hospital. There were a few people t
the park, getting some fresh air and light exercise.
A breeze blew past and Aurora felt slightly cold. She wrapped herself tighter with the jacket.
She turned around, and looked at the man next to her.
Do you find it cold?
Theodore stuck his hands in his pocket, and stared blankly ahead. Don’t bother about me.
Feeling his coldness and distance, Aurora started feeling anxious.
‘Does he hate me?’ she wondered.
She mustered up the courage to ask, Mr. Spencer, what exactly happened? You can talk to me about it. It’s better than keeping it to yourself.
She had a feeling that he had a lot on his mind.
Theodore sighed. Why do you want to know?
I… Aurora hesitated for a moment. I’m worried about you.
Why are you worried about me?
Aurora’s heart skipped a beat. I……. I…….
She started to panic, unsure of what to say in response.
Theodore turned around, and glanced at her. Her name is Rosalie Young.
Aurora stood stunned. Rosalie Young?
Theodore nodded. She’s my ex-wife.
Aurora heaved a silent sigh of relief upon hearing that the woman was his ex-wife. That proved that they were divorced.
Before joy could start filling her heart, Theodore went on to say, She’s the woman I love.
