The sky gradually darkened.
By now, Rosalie’s IV drip bag was empty.
She wanted to go to the bathroom. She had just gotten out of bed when Theodore stepped forward to support her.

With that, she carefully made her way to the bathroom, closed the door, and locked it.

Late at night, Rosalie’s phone rang. It was a video call from Sebastian.

Just as she was about to get out of bed, Theodore came up to her, holding a coat. It was hers.
Theodore was expressionless. Rosalie took the coat from him, and he returned to the couch as if nothing had happened.
Rosalie didn’t have time to think too much. She quickly put on the coat, sat on the edge of the bed, and replied to the video call. In the video, the wall behind her was visible, and she tried her best to keep any other images out of the shot.
As soon as the video call connected, a cute baby face appeared on the screen.
Steve, look! This is Mommy. Say Mommy.
In the video, Steve blinked his big, shiny eyes that were filled with curiosity.
However, the child was too young to speak. If Rosalie wanted to hear him call Mommy, she probably had to wait a few more months.

This excuse seemed plausible.
Sebastian appeared to believe her.
Rose, I know you miss him. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to video call you every day so you can see him. I’ll take good care of him. By the time you come back, he’ll be healthy and chubby.
Seb, are you sure you’re not coming to Melrine before I finish my studies? Rosalie asked.
