“Forget it,” Eve said with a smile. “Let’s just enjoy ourselves today. Let’s go shopping, and I’ll get you a nice basket bag. It’s practical and stylish!” Nina was already familiar with Eve so she did not hold back. “You’re so generous.”
“Of course, I’m generous to you! If I treat you well, Nash won’t give me the cold shoulder,” Eve said. She was not fond of Nash’s serious demeanor.
“I’ll just change my clothes, and then we can head out.” Nina wanted to go shopping, especially since her belly was getting bigger and she needed to buy things for the baby.
The two of them headed out, accompanied by a driver and bodyguard. Nina had taken leave from the TV station, but she remained on call if Angel or the station needed anything.
Penelope had been discharged from the hospital. The lead role in that production, originally played by Bella, was recast. They wanted Penelope to return to the role, but she declined. Now, they are searching for a new actress to take on the part.
Nina and Eve arrived at the mall, which was filled with luxury shops selling clothes, bags, and shoes.
Luxury stores are always busy, with regular customers often having to wait in line. Eve, being a VIP, didn’t have to wait and could get served immediately.
Eve held up a recently released basket bag against Nina. “This is perfect for you. The color suits you, and it’s so light, ideal for a pregnant woman.”
Nina took it and said, “It’s nice, but I actually prefer the one over there.”
Eve glanced over. “Oh, you prefer something more upscale. You should’ve said so earlier. Let’s go check it out.”
Nina joked, “It’s expensive there; I don’t want to drain your wallet.”
Eve replied enthusiastically, “As long as you like it, I’ll cover it. One basket bag, ten basket bags, even ten high-end bags. I’ll buy them all for you!” “Wow, our Eve is quite the big spender,” Nina laughed.
Eve, realizing Nina was joking, playfully responded, “You weren’t serious, were you? You’re teasing me!”

Eve, easily pleased, smiled and held Nina’s arm tighter. “Alright, let’s keep shopping.”
They tried on several items and bought a few before moving on to another store.

Nina froze in place, her steps halting.
Miranda smiled. “Then I’ll buy it.”
“Okay.”
Footsteps approached, and a strong hand handed a gold card to the sales associate.
“On my card.”
“Of course, Mr. York.”
Nina stared in shock as Nash stood next to Miranda. Her eyes widened in disbelief. She must be dreaming.
She had been having a lot of nightmares lately, and this must be another one. She tried to reassure
herself that Nash’s love for her was real.
“It’s Nash!” Eve exclaimed. “What is he doing with another woman, buying her a bag? This is unacceptable!”
