Arabella’s face twisted with disgust. Unlike my parents, she wasn’t the type to show gentleness. With a sharp motion, she pushed Griffin’s hand away.
“Griffin, I was just playing with you! As for the bastard in my belly, I’ll take care of it. I, Arabella, want to marry someone from a powerful and respectable family. You? You’re not worth it.”
After a brief moment of hesitation, Arabella forced a smile at me.
“President Cavendish, there are no eternal enemies in business, only eternal interests. I hope the Cavendish and Kingsleigh families can work together in the future. Here’s my card-“D
She offered her business card with a fake show of respect. I took it between two fingers, glanced at it indifferently, then dropped it to the floor and stepped on it.
“You!” Arabella’s face contorted with rage from the humiliation.
“What? Can’t handle it now? Don’t think I don’t know; your family’s crumbling overseas and you want to latch onto the Cavendish Corporation to stay afloat. You’re right; business is all about profit. And now’s the perfect moment for us to strike while the iron’s hot and take over your family.”}
