As Antonio noticed the blood along my thighs, he turned pale at once and the comers of his mouth shook.
“Shouldn’t you be on duty in Grandview Hospital?”
I stared coldly at Antonio, speechless.
A doctor hastened to help me up and intended to take me into the ward.
“Mr. Kaufman, please calm down. She needs to be examined
immediately!”
“For what?”
Purchase completed
“She’s had a miscarriage,” the doctor snapped.
Antonio was astounded.
“Miscarriage? How is it possible? What do you mean?”
The nurse couldn’t take it anymore and then replied grimly, “The woman you just kicked is also pregnant. But given the current situation, I assume the baby can hardly be kept.”
Her words just hit a nerve in Antonio. He found it hard to breathe and then held his sides.
He stumbled and his eyes got wide.
This was the baby he had been looking forward to since we got married.
Now, he had killed the baby before it was born.

For health reasons, it was rather difficult for Antonio to have a baby.
We tried our best to conceive, but we still couldn’t make it.
However, I got pregnant unexpectedly.
Nor could Antonio expect that he would shatter his dream with a kick.
While I was taken to the ER, Antonio kept asking if I was really pregnant.
After the doctor offered reassurance, he held my hand tightly and apologized.
“I’m sorry. Why didn’t you tell me you were pregnant?
“I was drunk and failed to control my temper. Will you five me?”
I didn’t wanna listen to him and gave him no response.
Lying on the operating table, I was gazing at the flickering shadowless lamp above me. I knew my ties with my baby were over.
“The patient is in an urgent condition. The baby can’t survive. Now we need to take out the fetus and save the patient’s life.”
“What? Is there no other solution? This is too brutal for her!”
“It can’t be helped. Who could expect that man to be so crazy?”
Even though I had decided to give up the baby, I still couldn’t help shedding tears at that moment.
I felt the tears at the corners of my eyes before I lost consciousness.
It was like a knife piercing my heart.
When I woke up, it was the next day.

Antonio was there with me by the bedside.
Looking at the fruits and the warm food on the table, I was totally unmoved. I didn’t care about him anymore.
When he tried to feed me the food, the nurse aside just stopped him.
“How can you have no common sense at all? The patient has just had surgery. She can’t eat anything for now. We need to keep her here for observation.”
Antonio put down the food.
He looked at me with a guilty expression and said, “Nothing’s going on between me and Tania. She was upset, so I went to comfort her and had a drink together. I didn’t expect she should be pregnant…..
“No worries. I’ll look after her for some time only. You’re still my
favorite.”
Tania’s voice suddenly sounded in the ward, “Yes, Grace. Don’t overthink it. I was all alone, so Antonio helped me out of kindness.”
She and I were in the same ward.
I couldn’t help sneering.
Antonio went forward and held my hand.
“I didn’t recognize you before. Don’t take what I said back then to heart. I
didn’t mean it.
“It wasn’t me who put those things into Tania. It was done by me and my friend. They fell in love at first sight and things just got out of control.”
Antonio was full of crap.

But his excuse was so lousy that no one would possibly fall for it.
His friend had long gone abroad for studies. How could he fall in love with Tania at first sight?
I didn’t wanna waste my breath with him. I directly asked an acquainted nurse to arrange a private room for me.
But Tania couldn’t accept it. She questioned why I could get a private
room.
She had just asked around and learned that no private room
available.
