‘Uh… how should I put it, I’m a medical student, and her allergic reactions seem mild. It really doesn’t look serious. These reactions would usually subside on their own in a few days!
‘How are you so sure about it? You’re not even a doctor yet. Even if you are, can you guarantee your judgment is correct by simply looking at it?’
‘Hannah is such a kind person. She didn’t mention anything to avoid worrying her fans. It was accidentally revealed this time. What if it’s just the tip of the iceberg?’
Online arguments raged on. Initially, the medical student wanted to explain more from a professional perspective, but Hannah’s fans were too fervent. He couldn’t reason with them and eventually gave up trying to explain.
Fans would always believe their idol was right no matter what they did.
By the time the argument died down, Hannah had already pressed the quit button and boarded the lifeboat. Before she left, she made sure to gain some more public favour.
She turned to Stephanie, who was still on the island and played the role of a caring elder sister. “Stephanie, I’m leaving my suitcase here which contains some daily necessities. Please take care of yourself.”
Stephanie nodded gratefully. “Sure, thank you, Hannah.”
Milly, watching their disgusting performance, silently rolled her eyes and turned away to avoid seeing them.
Hannah’s suitcase didn’t have any useful daily necessities, it was almost entirely filled with clothes and high heels instead. Still, Milly admired her for managing to wear such outfits and heels in the wilderness for these past few days.
Milly wondered why Stephanie chose to stay.
If it was for fame, the departure of the two most famous people would undoubtedly reduce the public interest of the show. There was no need for her to continue suffering here, yet she chose to stay. Something was off.
Not only that but the design manuscript that Matthew had lost was obviously taken by Stephanie. She was the only one who knew where he hid it and had earned his trust.
So, why did Stephanie take his manuscript?
Something was definitely wrong!
Stephanie was hiding something else that I didn’t know about, or her purpose here was not just to participate in a show. What’s her secret?
Night time.
Originally, there wouldn’t be enough beds tonight, but the beds they made were just enough after Hannah and William left.
Stephanie and Dakota shared a bed, which they chose themselves, and Charlie and Matthew shared a bed.
Stephanie had always liked using others to make her status prominent. Even back in high school, she was surrounded by her followers.
Now, with Hannah gone, Stephanie flaunted her connections and Dakota naturally would flatter her.
Maybe Stephanie wanted to showcase her good relations or deliberately boycott Milly, she chose to share a bed with Dakota under the pretext of sharing girly secrets. She even shot Milly a look to provoke her.
What a joke.
Milly wasn’t bothered about Stephanie’s childish actions. She was actually grateful for the chance to sleep alone.
Only the moonlight shone on the undeveloped island in the darkness, but due to the bad weather, even the moonlight was absent tonight.
After a while, Milly heard the faint snores and people talking in their sleep. She slowly sat up.
She quietly walked towards the door and, as expected, saw Charlie leaning against it.
“I knew you wouldn’t be asleep,” Milly whispered as she approached.
Charlie seemed to have expected her. He wasn’t surprised. He only frowned upon noticing her without a coat. “Go put on some clothes. It’s cold.”
Instead of answering, Milly blinked and persuaded him, “Come on, go back to sleep.”
Charlie frowned disdainfully. “It’s fine. It’ll be dawn soon.”
He preferred waiting here until morning rather than squeezing into a bed with Matthew. His OCD almost made him want to kill Matthew.
Milly smirked and suddenly whispered in his ears, “Not with him, with me. Come on, share my bed.”
Her scent filled his nostrils, causing him to gulp.
Milly playfully tugged at him. “Come on, stop thinking about it. Come in, it’s freezing!”
Milly’s bed was the farthest out, so she could sneak out and bring someone in without the others knowing.
She lay on the inside, leaving a space large enough for the man. She was relieved when she saw that he could lie down. “Thank goodness. I built the bed wider for comfort.”
It was still a bit cramped, but not enough for any of them to fall off.
Their bodies were tightly pressed together. Despite their clothes, Milly could clearly feel his firm muscles and lines.
Would he know if I secretly touched him?
Milly reached out and slid her hand up his shirt. She was surprised to feel his firm muscles.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven…
Oh my, he has eight-pack abs?
Just as she was about to check the eighth pack, Charlie grabbed her hand.
