Chapter 179
“You fell into my trap the moment you set foot in my yard,” Eliza explained with a smile. She then looked at the herbs on the other side of her yard.
One of those herbs had hallucinogenic effects. It was rare in the market. Because Eliza was interested in poison, Nolan had collected many related seeds and young plants for her.
Now, the hallucinogenic herb in Eliza’s yard was about to corne into flower. It was a gift from Nolan too, and only a few were available on the market.
Eliza had thought that Gilbert lingered at the entrance of her yard because he recognized those poisonous plants.
In the end, he took the initiative to walk into the yard. Then, Eliza understood that Gilbert didn’t know much about poison though he used it.
That was why he got poisoned easily. That plate of spaghetti sped up the effects of the poison.
Eliza made up her mind for more poisonous plants since only a few of them could bring down a grown man.
Eliza looked at her great harvest on the ground and said with a smile, “Tina, drag him into the kitchen. I will deal with him when I have time.”
Before she decided how to handle Gilbert, she felt it necessary to check the centipede important to him.
After Tina dragged Gilbert away, Eliza returned to her bedroom and then entered the pocket farm.
Soon, she felt the centipede. Why was the centipede in the creek? It was drinking the magical water from the creek when Eliza found it.
“You little thing, how dare you drink the magical water without my permission!” Eliza shouted.
Angry, she intended to fetch some tools from the house to catch the centipede. Right then, she felt as if some weird connection had been built.
It was about the centipede. The centipede suddenly left the creek and crawled towards Eliza as if it had read her mind. “Stay there!” Eliza shouted. She retreated by instinct the moment she sensed the approach of the centipede. The reason was that she had been bitten by it.
To her surprise, the poisonous centipede stopped as ordered. A look of surprise appeared on her face.
Eliza thought, “Hey, the little thing is quite obedient. Why don’t I give it a test?” With her eyes narrowed slightly, she said, “Come here!”
As expected the centipede crawled towards Eliza again. “Stop!” Eliza quickly shouted. The centipede stopped again.
Things became interesting to Eliza.
“Come here!” Eliza ordered. “Stop! Retreat. Come here.”
After several tests, Eliza was convinced that the centipede was obedient to her, but why? She thought for quite a while.
Was the magical water in the pocket farm the reason? The pocket farm had acknowledged Eliza as its owner, and the centipede had drank the magical water in it.
The magical water might become the connection between Eliza and the centipede. That explained why the centipede was obedient to Eliza.
What would it do before Gilbert? It was his Soul Centipede, so their connection must be profound.
That was why Gilbert had found Eliza without the help of Sophie. Eliza became curious about whether the centipede would be obedient to her when Gilbert was around.

Chapter 179
After a short hesitation, Eliza decided to give it a try. “Hey, come, let’s go meet your master.
Soon, Eliza took the centipede to the kitchen where Gilbert had been firmly tied to a pillar by Tina.
“Simba? Simba! Come here quickly, Simba!” Gilbert shouted excitedly. Gilbert had regained consciousness. He felt the centipede the moment Eliza left the pocket farm with it.
“So, your name is Simba,” Speaking, Eliza placed on the table her handkerchief where the shiny centipede was.
At the sight of his Soul Centipede, Gilbert shook his head while murmuring, “Simba… Come here. I’m here.. Come and help me.” He was a bit dizzy, and his calls were instinctive.
Hearing Gilbert, the centipede moved towards its master. Soon, Eliza’s voice sounded. “Simba, where are you going? Come here.”
Instantly, the centipede crawling towards Gilbert changed its direction and headed towards Eliza.
“Simba…you fool, where are you going?” Shouting, Gilbert hit his head towards the pillar to sober up.
He thought that he was hallucinating again. It was impossible for his Soul Centipede to take orders from Eliza, so he must be hallucinating.
“It must be a hallucination caused by her poison,” he thought.
“Come back, Simba.” Gilbert coughed. “Don’t go there. She will mince you as the seasoner for her spaghetti.”
Hearing this, Eliza almost burst out laughing. In the corner of the kitchen, Tina felt speechless. “Serenity, the drug is losing its effectiveness. Should I feed him another one?”
Eliza shook her head. “No, I know how to deal with him.” Now, she wanted to try something new.
She was anxious to figure out the connection between Gilbert and the centipede. Could she control Gilbert via the centipede?
Her gaze shifted from the centipede on the table to Gilbert tied to a pillar opposite her.
Suddenly, she ordered with a mischievous smile, “Simba, go in the bucket.” Without hesitation, the centipede crawled towards the wooden bucket not far away.
In the bucket was water Eliza had used to cook spaghetti. There wasn’t much water but enough for Eliza’s experiment.
“Simba, dive into the water.” Eliza sounded soft, but her order was fatal to the centipede. Even so, the centipede went into the bucket without the slightest hesitation.
The centipede wouldn’t drown because it could float on the water. With the fear of death, it intended to float on the water as usual.
However, Eliza gave another command. “Stay under the water.” Surprisingly, the centipede stayed under the water as ordered though it might drown to death.
