“Are you trying to die?” Charles Gresham grabbed my collar, his eyes blazing with anger. “You sold out my woman for a measly 1 million? You’re dead!”
Whoa, hold on a second, buddy.
If you’re jealous, why don’t you hurry up and break up Letitia Sue and Ryan Gresham? If you wait any longer, she’ll be pregnant!
“Mr. Gresham, calm down. Let’s talk about this.“I pointed to the Villa, trying to distract Charles Gresham. “They just went inside. If you go in now, you might still be able to stop them.”
“No rush. I’ll settle their accounts with you later. First, let’s see if you’ve been diligent.” Charles Gresham leisurely opened the gardening toolbox I’d put away earlier.
Inside were a long–handled watering ladle, a watering can, a sprayer, an iron shovel, a small hoe, and pruning shears.
“Mr. Gresham, I was wrong!” I whined.
“Wrong about what?” He took out a pair of scissors and snipped them open and closed.
I was shocked. Was he planning to use the scissors to kill me and cover it up?
Was he going to kill me or Letitia Sue? Is it too late to run?
“My mistake was that when Letitia Sue came looking for you, I shouldn’t have taken Ryan Gresham’s money to tip him off. I should have called you immediately. I quickly admitted defeat, saying in a negotiating tone, “By the way, could you put down the scissors first?”
“Since you messed up, shouldn’t there be a punishment?” Charles Gresham said, putting down the scissors and inspecting my gardening tools one by one.
“Could the punishment be a little lighter?” I asked tentatively, rolling my eyes. “Like, maybe !
could bark like a dog?”
Charles Gresham was amused by my words, and the corners of his mouth quirked up. “Let
me hear you bark.”
“Wool woof—| barked twice, half–heartedly.
Charles Gresham examined me seriously for the first time, his gaze lingering on my gardener’s uniform. “You actually make those ordinary work clothes look pretty good.”
*Heh, really?” I glanced down at my gardener’s uniform. Are you sure it looks good?
Charles Gresham suddenly said, “Eva Lynn, you have a better figure than Letitia Sue.”
Um, that was a sharp turn. I didn’t react for a moment.
“Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Gresham. Well. I’ll be going now.” I saw my chance to slip

I grabbed the nearest hose and doused Charles Gresham’s head: “Mr. Gresham, get a grip! It was the second young master who stole Letitia Sue, you should be going after him, not taking it
out on me!”
“Don’t change the subject. How are you going to compensate me for that kick?” Charles Gresham got up from the ground, took off his shirt, and revealed his toned abs.
Damn, what eye candy.

Every morning, Mr. Gresham gets up and runs a few laps in the Garden, does a hundred push–ups as a warm–up, and then heads to his private gym for a workout.
He’s built a super physique through consistent effort.
