My Wife Betrayed Me for a Younger Guy, Later She Regretted It and Killed Him

Chapter 8%
*Suzanne doesn’t mind your past, so you’d better behave yourself!” My dad’s words truly shocked me.}
Suzanne agreed to this? That one sentence kept me up all night.
The next day, I went to meet her for the blind date, still in a daze. At the restaurant, seeing her again, I was still surprised.}
So as soon as the food arrived, I wanted to ask her to confirm it. But she interrupted me before I could speak.
She glanced at a braised seafood dish on the table and frowned at the waiter, “We didn’t order this. My friend is allergic to seafood, please take this dish away.”}
I’froze. She knew I was allergic to seafood?}
After the dish was
faken away, Suzanne looked at me and spoke first, “I know what you want to ask. Yes, I’m the one who told my parents I wanted to go on a blind date with you.”

She explained, “I’ve liked you since high school. I worked so hard to beat you in grades, just so you’d notice me. I wanted to confess, but I didn’t have the courage. When I studied abroad, during my first year I finally decided to tell you, but by then you already had a girlfriend.“} “Now that you’re single again, why not give each other a chance?” Suzanne looked at me with such sincerity that my heart raced. To think that someone had quietly liked me so deeply all these years …
We looked at each other for a long moment and I said, “Alright. As long as you don’t mind my past, let’s give this a try.” And so began my relationship with Suzanne.
Two months later, we officially got together in public. This time, I confessed my feelings to her. She said yes with a beaming smile. Being with Suzanne, I finally understood what it meant to be truly loved. There was no need for me to constantly cater or give more than I received. Our love was equal.}

She knew everything I liked, understood my real dreams and goals. Life with her was so sweet, it felt like even the air smelled of sugar. Everything was falling back into place … happiness, at last.
But just when I thought I could finally move on, Lilian suddenly showed up. After months apart, her belly was flat, there was no sign of pregnancy.
Her clothes were shabby, clearly worn down. Life hadn’t been kind to her.
I frowned. Judging by the timeline, her baby shouldn’t have been born yet. So… what happened to the pregnancy?}
She had tried calling me before, even after we divorced. But I’d changed my number. After the divorce, I also asked my father to cut all business ties with her hospital. She could no longer get access to our affordable medical equipment.
So now she came to find me in person, her first words were, “Lucas, I heard what Barry said to you that day, I checked the surveillance footage. I wrongly blamed you. I’m sorry! Barry’s mom never had cancer! They were both lying!“}
I sneered without saying anything.”
She went on sobbing, “I finally realized how much you’ve helped me over the years. Now that you’ve cut off the collaboration, I don’t blame you. I know this means you still care about me. You want to force me back to your side! You don’t have to do this. After I give birth, we’ll get remarried!”
Her words left me completely speechless.
I replied coldly and impatiently, “Lilian, how many times do I have to say it for you to understand? I have absolutely no feelings for you anymore. There is no ‘us‘ And I already have a girlfriend now.”
I thought I’d made myself perfectly clear.”
